About this property
beautiful holiday resort at the south-west coast of Ireland, with swimming-pond,
If you like to relax and switch off completely, my holiday resort will be just the ideal place for you.
It is nearby the sea and approx. 1.4 km from Goleen. The Irish cottage, originally built in 1826 and completely renovated in 1996, is embedded in a gorgeous, 9000 sq. meters park-like garden with palm trees, roses, hydrangeas and rhododendrons. It is a true paradise not only for adults but also for children. From the small stone igloo on top of a hill (at the end of the garden), you will enjoy the most spectacular view of the country-side, the sea and the Fasnet Rock.
The house (200 sq. meters) has been completely renovated and refurbished and is fully equipped with everything you need: spacious living and dining rooms, cosy bedrooms, kitchen utilities and an international library. The modern and environmentally friendly solar heating with floor heating keeps you nice and warm all year round. And in winter you may enjoy a glass of Irish whisky in front of the two open fire places.
On the spacious, tiled patio you find a large stone table, chairs for 8 people and several deck-chairs. From there you overlook the 450 sq. swimming-pond with a wooden platform to sun-bathe.
On cooler days, you may enjoy some time in the sauna which accommodates 4 people. From the relaxing room adjoining the sauna you overlook the garden and the pond.

About the host
Hosted by Jochen Bischoff

On my first visit to Ireland I fell immediately in love with this country and its wonderful openhearted people. As a logical consequence I soon decided to look for a property to acquire.
In 1996 I bought this wonderful peace of land with its cottage. I had it very carefully renovated and extended to around 200 square meters of living space. Now I spend more than half the year here myself.

Why they chose this property
