Unit 1020 is a beautiful 5-bedroom, 3-bathroom beach home that comfortably sleeps up to 12 guests and is located just a 1-minute walk from the ocean. This spacious property is perfect for families and groups looking for a relaxing and convenient getaway near the beach. The home features large balconies on both the first and second floors, providing the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the coastal atmosphere.

The first floor offers an open-concept layout with a welcoming living room, full bathroom, dining area, and kitchen designed for family gatherings. The kitchen is fully equipped with plates, cups, utensils, a coffee maker, toaster, microwave, and refrigerator. A newly built dining table seats 8–10 people, and the living room includes a brand-new LG 50-inch smart TV with a sound bar for your entertainment. The master bedroom is conveniently located on the first floor, while the second floor includes four additional bedrooms, each with its own TV, along with two full bathrooms.

An outdoor shower is also available, making it easy for guests to rinse off after a fun day at the beach. The home includes 12 bath towels, 3 hand towels, 12 washcloths, pillows, fitted sheets for all beds, and quilts for the entire stay. Please note that flat sheets are not included.

Ocean Lakes is a gated, family-friendly campground with 24-hour security and an impressive range of amenities to enjoy throughout your stay. Guests have free access to a large water park, kids splash zone, miniature golf, indoor and outdoor pools, arcade, basketball and volleyball courts, cornhole court, recreation center, general store, and café. Several small lakes throughout the campground also offer
opportunities for fishing.

Per Ocean Lakes policy, there is a $15 per car per day entrance fee, and an overflow parking lot is available for additional vehicles.

Owner was very responsive, house was fully stocked, beautiful home. Plenty of furniture for our group of 9. Nice over hang porch for shade during the day while hanging on the deck. 11 houses from the beach. Outside shower was great after coming off the beach. Beach chairs would be a nice addition.

Great location

The house was in a perfect location. It is close enough to the beach that you can walk. This is important b/c the golf cart parking gets full by 11am. The only negative I would give is the beds do not come with a full set of sheets and there are no extra blankets. The owner/manager provides a fitted sheet and a thin blanket for the beds but no top sheet.

Perfect Beach Home

I can honestly say this is the best beach rental we have ever had! The owner is friendly, fabulous, and incredibly helpful…always available to help and answer questions. The home is gorgeous - inside and out - and immaculately clean! There are so many added touches to each room and it’s obvious so much thought went into making sure guests were comfortable and felt at home. There was plenty of room for everyone! The beds are made upon arrival and there are plenty of towels in each bathroom. The parking was perfect for all 4 of our cars and 3 golf carts! We only wish we could have stayed longer. It was absolutely perfect.

Family Beach Vacation

We did a 5 day stay and wish we would have done a full week here. House was perfect, owner was great! House location does not require a golf cart rental but we did it anyway for our 17 year old teenager to cruise our other younger teenage kids around. They had a blast socializing and meeting other kids throughout the day into the evening until the community curfew at 11pm. The house is walking distance to all amenities. We cooked every night and had everything we needed to cook meals. My only recommendation would be a simple knife sharpener. I highly recommend this house and location if this home is booked.

Perfect vacation with kids!

This house was such a nice surprise. The pictures actually do not do it justice. It was plenty roomie enough for our multi-family vacation for 12. Very short stroll to the beach. But if you have kids that probably won’t matter because the water park will be such a hit. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a text from the property owner the first night after the power went out to all of Myrtle. No regrets. It will be difficult for us to find another place to measure up to this one for future vacations. I would highly recommend doing grocery shopping off site though as the Sandy Mart is very pricey.

Family Vacation

Chue was quick to respond to everything, always very polite and accommodating. The resort had a lot to offer. It was exactly what was detailed online And more. We unfortunately ended up there with some tropical storm weather so we didn’t get to use everything as much, but it was all there and we would definitely come back. nothing made sure the place was pretty clean just beware of dishes in the sink or food near the sink, ants can come out. It was very understandable nothing major. One thing I didn’t realize is that you must have a car to stay at the resort or it is a bit difficult to get your belongings from the resort entrance to your home as they don’t let in any cars that are not staying and no rideshares. We would definitely come and stay again.

What I loved about the property: *Very clean and comfy linens/bedding and bath towels and hand towels provided *Short walk to the beach *Host was very responsive to messages and hospitable *Kitchen was stocked with coffee Kcups, cream, sugar, paper towels, dish soap, new sponge for dish washing and little extras that you would normally need to bring from home *Bathrooms were stocked with plenty of toilet paper, hand soap and make up wipes *Perfect layout and spacious for our family and friends Somethings you should know before you go: *Flat sheets are not included in linens provided nor are wash cloths *The porch is covered but the ceiling/deck above is not enclosed so if it’s raining you cannot sit on the covered porch and chairs get wet and hold rusty water Overall this property is very lovely and we had an awesome Halloweekend with family and friends!

Family stay

We just returned from our stay here. Home was spacious and accommodated our family of 8. We enjoyed cooking in the fully stocked kitchen and playing games on the beautiful dining room table. We did have an issue with the downstairs AC had stopped working but Chue was very responsive and was there in 30 minutes. It was a common issue all units have and was fixed in a timely manner and he set up portable AC units until the company to fix it got there. so the house never was hot! Only thing I would recommend is providing a dust pan .. I like to clean during stay especially sweeping sand up from floor and I could not find one in the closet. Overall we had a good stay and it is a nice spacious home with a great location.

We visited over a long weekend. The house was big the linens were clean. Plenty of bath towels. I wish they had a propane grill it was an inground hibachi style that was pretty dirty. The beach chairs were lacking. On the hole the property is nice space is big layouts great close to the beach which was the main focus and lovely

Location, Location, Location

We had a great time in a home with a great location. Vrbo was a pain but the owner was awesome. Always quick to answer questions and to solve any challenge that arose. Could not have asked for a better person before, during and after our visit. The home itself was in a GREAT location. Not too close to the beach but within a short walk and right near an access to the beach. A quiet location and we were there over Labor Day weekend, so not having all the noise was great. It had more than enough dishes, glasses, pots, pans, silverware, appliances and basically all the comforts of home. The furniture was comfortable, and the beds were very comfortable, with enough pillows, sheets, covers, and towels to meet all of our needs. The bathrooms were spotlessly clean and in working order, the dining room table was spacious and allowed us to all eat at one table and play our games in the same location. All in all, it was a great stay, and we had an awesome time while there. To my understanding the owner is even going to do more renovations in the off season which will make this home even a better place to stay.

We love Ocean Lakes

This property was perfect for our family. We had a family of 8 adults and 4 children 1.5-8 years of age. There was plenty of room to spread out and for everyone to have their own space. We love Ocean Lakes and the amenities are amazing. The owner of this property was excellent with communication and sent messages frequently through the app. Checked in with us shortly after arrival to make sure everything was good for us. I would recommend this property to anyone with a family looking to enjoy some time at the beach. We were worried that there may not be enough parking at the house for our 4 vehicles but it did work and also had room to park our four golf carts as well as plenty of space for all of the beach stuff.

Space was great. Proximity to beach and amenities was great. But BE AWARE: “linens provided” as advertised was not quite true. There were only 3 bath towels for our party of 8. Also beds had NO TOP SHEETS. Only bottom sheets were provided. After a TRIP TO COSTCO to buy sheets and towels, everything was fine.

Close to the Beach!!

We had eight total people in our group and the house was able to accommodate us all well. The deck was a great place to spend time in the mornings and evenings. The house is about a block from the beach which was fantastic! The location between Myrtle beach and Surfside beach was also great!

Nice property

House was beautiful, plenty of sleeping space. 2 minute walk to the beach, fun community packed with people and things to do. The only negative was the property was a little bit underprepared with supplies. The house had no toilet paper, paper towels or soap. Not the end of the world but I feel like it is pretty typical that basic supplies like that are provided!
