I can honestly say…This Was a Big Disappointment! Thanksgiving 2023!

While I usually do not post negative reviews it was important to share our family experience as there were no reviews online. This house was advertised with nice pictures, pool/spa, grill, etc., but to our disappointment that was not the case. Upon arrival I notified the owner of issues including: 78° temperature inside; ant traps in reach of our grandchildren; dirty refrigerator, garbage disposal not working, garbage containers full; low pressure, brown and no hot water; A/C not working in 1st floor bedroom - 85° outside; glass shower door off track, toilet handle broken; the pool/spa was dirty and unusable until our final day our grandchildren too young for the ocean; no grill as advertised; beach chairs were rusty. Most frustrating was the owner not replying to my emails to discuss - NO RESPONSE. In summary, we have rented many homes and I can honestly say this was a big disappointment. This house has a nice beachfront and back yard but needed much improvement. We have taken pictures and documented all the above issues and can share. Unfortunately, there were no reviews on Vrbo prior to our stay. I have contacted the Vrbo owner multiple times to discuss but have NOT received a response. Once our credit card was charged he stopped corresponding. We are not used to that type of non-responsiveness, particularly at this high price point. As a result, I felt it was important to warn future renters of our experience and to seriously do your homework before renting this property.
