Clean, comfortable, well stocked, and convenient to Lassen NP. Our family of four plus one dog had a great stay while exploring the park. I would definitely stay again!
An older but clean cabin. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom included an old fashioned tub which was difficult to step up into - a word to the wise for older folks. Plenty of towels and bath products. Could only find one kitchen towel however. An odor of burnt popcorn greeted us but opened windows helped. Electricity was sketchy (some outlets didn't work) but kind of expected for the in the woods location. Lovely walk to the waterfall but signs or a map in the cabin would have been helpful. Overall a nice stay close to Lassen Volcanic NP if you aren't expecting modern conveniences.
Beautiful location. Close to Lassen North entrance. Peaceful. Has all necessary items for an easy stay. I gave housekeeping a 3 because pizza was left in microwave and cobwebs on walls. But overall a 5 star property for cabin glamping.
Cottage 2 is a nice little house with a private front and back yard. It's old and filled with knick-knacks, but everything works and the kitchen has everything you need. It's a very peaceful place, but near the office and other campsites and lodging options (our large group stayed in various spots). The location is great with Shingletown stores nearby. We made multiple trips to nearby Lassen north entrance.
The cottage was well stocked with everything need to cook. House was very clean. And our pet was happy in his bed by ythe fire

The original cabin we were assigned had some power outlet problems in one bedroom, and the hostess immediately moved us to another cabin - with great apologies. The cabins were well stocked in the kitchen and bathroom, and the beds were very comfortable. But there was a funk about it that included dated decor and furniture, with plenty of reminders about Bigfoot.
It was a great cabin on a great property. The indoor space was fully stocked. I loved that they had the spices and plenty of towels. It was an awesome stay!
Awesome little cabin that was close to lassen and sledding at Eskimo hill. Perfect spot to enjoy the local area and relax in a nice rustic cabin with a wood stove. Peter the host was very nice and answered all my questions leading up to the trip.
We absolutely loved our stay at Bigfoot Lodging Cottage #2 It’s a very authentic cabin in the woods experience. The original vintage wood interior and squeaky wood floors added a lot to the ambiance. Plenty of outdoor space for grilling steaks or making campfire s’mores. The grounds are fun and funky with lots of interesting things to see including a pond and creek. The family that runs it is warm and accommodating with a small store that sells drinks and snacks. Just a short drive to Lassen. We would definitely stay here again.
Great location near Lassen National Park. Cottage 2 was perfect for us.!
Cottage 2 had a fully stocked kitchen and a warm fire when we arrived. It was such a nice quiet place to spend a couple days with most of the comforts of home. The staff was friendly and the little store was very convenient. We will be back.

I stayed at Cottage #2 in Shingletown Bigfoot Camping. It was a quaint, quiet, and cozy stay. If you’re looking for 5-star hotel conditions, this isn’t the place for you (yes, the old wood floors do squeak a bit!). But if what you want is a peaceful, inviting, and restful getaway, this little cottage might be just right. It was perfect for us — we cooked simple meals, relaxed in the living room by the wood stove, and explored the beautiful surroundings, including Lassen Volcanic National Park. Truly magical.

Overnight stay
We only stayed for one night while visiting Lassen Volcanic National park. The cabin was clean, but very rustic and remote. Although clean and comfortable, the property is quite dated. Good for a short stay.

Our whole theme of the park is remote mountan rustic look. After all... we are far away from the asphalt jungle and offer a relaxing natural forest experience.
