The Hideaway is located close to all the great attractions Tacoma offers. Blocks from 6th Avenue restaurants, Point Defiance, Chamber’s Creek and Tacoma Dome. The building is very old but has been completely remodeled. ***Perfect for Traveling Nurses!” Within minutes of Tacoma General, St. Joe’s and Allenmore.

Highly disappointed

For one the lock DID NOT ALWAYS LOCK. Place had 1 used big towel also an used little towel. There were fruit flies in the bed room. The bed room TV does NOT HAVE AN REMOTE. Also the WiFi password and network given to you is correct and didn’t pop up on cell phones or Xbox system

Cute and comfy

Cute property. Comfy bed. Well-stocked kitchen. AND DECENT TOILET PAPER! I've stayed at 4 properties this trip and a hotel, and this Shiplap rental was the first to have decent t.p. that wasn't 1-ply sandpaper. Thank goodness! Best part of rental! MY WHOHA THANKS YOU. Constructive criticism: staple down the astroturf on front porch before it kills someone. Super dangerous trip hazard. Thanks for a lovely stay! I'd definitely rent again.

Very Pleasant Stay and good value

Overall, we had a very pleasant week. We've stayed at several dozen "by owner" rentals and as usual in our budget range, there were some pros and cons. The place is old, but clean and fresh smelling. We could have used a little more storage space for toiletries in the bathroom, luggage in the bedroom and a table to eat at but we made ample use of the 4 folding TV dinner tables to customize the space to our needs. There was a loud, high-pitched dog that barked outside during daytime hours but thankfully, mostly quiet during the evenings and mornings. We picked Tacoma as a central location from which to explore Olympia, Mount Rainier and Seattle, but found that Tacoma itself had a lot to offer and the unit was very convenient to all of those. Lastly, unfortunately, Leanne had just switched internet providers before we came and the WIFI was very unreliable but she was in the process of having that addressed as we departed and she was very quick to respond and try to help when we mentioned it. She also provided a nice brand new BBQ and charcoal, though we ended up too busy to take advantage of it.
