This was an amazing place to stay for our girls getaway, So beautiful and relaxing. The house had plenty of room for all 13 girls. The kitchen was well stocked. The hot tub and pool were well kept and plenty big for all of us to enjoy at once. I’d definitely would stay here again.
Our stay at the Grand Oaks Ranch was very relaxing, peaceful and enjoyable. The property was as described and the host was quick to respond to any questions. Would definitely recommend!
My family of 8 adults and 6 grandkids stayed here for the Thanksgiving Holiday 2025. We had the most fabulous time at the Grand Oaks Ranch as it is an absolute must if you are looking for a place to enjoy the outdoors, ranch animals, superior interior accommodations, a pool, and a turf area for kids games like soccer and football! All of this within a short drive to Fredericksburg for shopping and dining and just fun! The host was also very accommodating and took care of any of our needs which were few.
We booked this for a weekend ladies retreat and it exceeded our expectations BY FAR. It was clean, quiet, spacious and absolutely perfect. We loved we were only 6 mins from downtown as well.
We highly recommend!!
I highly recommend.
We had the most wonderful stay for our annual family vacation with our two adult children and their families. We had 6 kids aged 2-13, and 6 adults. We explored Fredricksburg, Enchanted Rock and LBJ State Park and downtown area. The kids loved the house, pool, animals, game barn, turfed soccer , etc. This place was our favorite so far and I hope to return with the family again.
10 of our family women celebrated my granddaughter’s upcoming nuptials. It was the perfect place for us. It’s beautiful, historic and charming. We had a wonderful time.
We chose this property for my son’s wedding and it turned out so great!!!
From the peaceful area, to the pool and hot tub, to the barn, to the spacious home, it was just what we all wanted!
Thanks to Mark and the property manager for answering our questions and helping to make this special day so beautiful.
So many great things about this location. 1. This home is so well stocked! From the coffee bar, to the kitchen supplies, to the most luxurious down pillows, to the abundance of towels. 2. The owner was overly helpful and kind. He would turn the hot tub on and off for us. Providing the perfect temperature.

Overall, some good some bad. House itself is charming and has some nice touches. There is a construction site on the property near the house that we were not expecting though. That meant lots of noise, and less privacy than expected. Not a huge deal, but we booked this because we wanted to be in the country with some space, peace and quiet, which we didn't get much during the day. There was also a large puddle of standing water next to the pool due to recent rain, and it smelled awful anywhere near the pool as a result. Also, the biggest issue were the BUGS. I realize this is something you get when you're out in the country, and normally bugs don't bother me much, but there were SO MANY gnats, beetles and mosquitos that the surface of the pool and hot tub was completely covered in a thick bug layer, making them virtually unusable. The host was super nice though, easy to contact, and responsive the one time we reached out for assistance.
The location is perfect. It is secluded, quiet and very convenient to Fredericksburg and Enchanted rock. The home is well stocked with linens and kitchen supplies. The furnishings are comfortable, lots of outdoor seating. There is plenty of parking. The internet worked great. The host was very responsive to all our questions both before and during our stay. While we would call the property family friendly, we would not recommend for toddlers. We had 5 kids in our group, ages 5 and under. Though not in the property description, the pictures show a swing set/playground equipment but there was none on the property. The pool was great and there is a large area with artificial turf which provided a good play area (there were several large, active fire-ant mounds in the yard). In addition, we had planned on using the upstairs "bunk" room for the oldest kids but the stair treads are very shallow and the stairs are steep. This would be ok for older kids but we weren't comfortable putting our oldest ones (3-5yrs) up there even though they are used to navigating stairs. Overall a good property with great hosts.
