Over 2500 sq ft of space on close to an acre of land.
Master bedroom/bath with king bed is located on main level and has connecting bathroom with double vanity. Our driveway is pretty steep and a little tricky. It holds 3-4 cars without anyone having to move their car. More cars would require some car shuffling to come and go. In the fall, wet leaves can be slippery on the drive.
In winter months, Asheville has the occasional snow or ice. Our mountain road is normally plowed right away, or melts off quickly, but sometimes it might be later in the day. So if you don't have 4wd it is the perfect opportunity to spend the day making snowmen and sledding!
Recently renovated with all new wood floors throughout home and all new painting. In addition, we have an upgraded kitchen with every amenity imaginable.

Stayed here with several couples. The place was in a great location with a beautiful view, and close to downtown. Very clean and cozy, with a lot of thoughtful details like extra blankets and hair dryers. Would absolutely come back and stay again!
It was a pleasure staying at this house. Outdoor deck was very comfortable to enjoy. Location was excellent and the owner was fantastic to deal with. We had a great time.
This was the perfect house for our family of four couples plus pups! Due to the weather, we only used the living room fireplace which was lovely. We also enjoyed the hot tub.
It is an easy drive to downtown Asheville as well.
The home is very nice. 4 comfortable bedrooms. Mama Bear and two cubs were in the woods behind the house. Gorgeous creatures.
This is a pet friendly house and while the house was clean there is pet hair.
The property is exactly as described. Each of the 4 bedrooms comfortable and quiet. Lots of gathering spaces. Well-equipped kitchen for cooks. No need to go out really. Would certainly use again if in the area.
Beautiful location in the mountains with crisp mountain air and surrounded by nature yet still nice and close to downtown Asheville and the local attractions. Spacious and clean house with a nice outdoor deck on both levels, a fire pit and a hot tub. The best of both worlds and perfect for our trip
We were a group of 7 adults. The house had plenty of room to accommodate all of us comfortably. The hot tub and fire pit was a great addition for our evening enjoyment. It was well equiped with kitchen essentials. House was close to a food store and about a 10 min drive to the downtown area. We enjoyed our visit very much.
Our stay was fantastic. The house was convenient to everywhere we wanted to go. The layout of the house was great for what we needed. We had a very enjoyable stay.
The only “note” we have is in regards to the hot water heater. The hot water did not keep up with all showers being used at one time and took a while to heat back up. BUT the next day we knew this and staggered our showers and had no issues.
We would definitely stay again!
The house is very accurately described in the VRBO listing. In most respects it turned out better than anticipated. The kitchen was well equipped, there were plenty of towels, glasses, condiments, and so forth. The layout offers privacy with lounge and bedroom space on all three levels. It was very clean and the owner’s handbook was the most thorough we’ve ever seen.
This house suited our needs brilliantly.
The house was conveniently located to biltmore village, downtown and nature walks. With great communication, it was easy check in and home is ideal for 4 couple weekend. My only critique is that the bedroom windows had no blinds so there is a lack of privacy when people on deck. Even with this one critique we would absolutely rent again. Grab this house when its available.
This was an amazing house getaway. The property was beautiful, clean and big enough for all three families to spread out and enjoy each other. It was updated, fully furnished and equipped with all the amenities. It was located very close to the Asheville city limits. The only obstacle was the narrow driveway because I had a very large suv.
Wonderful well equipped house in a lovely location
We have rented homes all over the world and this one was among the nicest. It is very nicely furnished and very comfortable. We cooked on two of the six nights we were here and found the kitchen well equipped.
Andy, the owner, was most helpful when we had a glitch with our GPS in finding the house. He stayed on the phone with us until we turned into the driveway.
We had a great week here and highly recommend it for friends traveling together. You can be as alone or as together as you choose with sitting areas on all 3 levels.
My trip was a birthday celebration with my adult kids. This home was beautiful, and perfect for our getaway. We arrived to a spotlessly cleaned home with an atmosphere of warmth and relaxation. Plenty of extra towels, blankets, and soft throw blankets. Beds very comfy and a quiet neighborhood. There was so much space and we could all be together, but have privacy. The pictures are accurate. We enjoyed the hot tub, used the fire pit, sat out on the deck and felt like we were in the trees. Overall a 5 star rating, and would definitely stay again.
Very nice home. We had 6 adults and it was very comfortable and had more space than we actually used. We were generally out during the day and evening and back at night time. The set up gave each of 3 couples their own floor with bed bath and living (although we congregated on main living floor). Hosts had really thought of everything and can not think of anything we needed. The flashlights were handy at night as it does get quite dark. We did not end up using the hot tub - maybe next time. Views are very nice and very scenic drive up to house. Not far to either town or Blue Ridge Pkwy. Did get to see black bear cross road about a block south of house.
We had a lovely stay at this beautiful home. The size was perfect for our family. We really appreciated that there were bedrooms AND living spaces on each level. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and our son and his wife enjoyed the hot tub. The only issue we had was repeated bear encounters. It was great fun to watch them as we sat on the deck, but More than a bit of a hassle, cleaning up the trash that they strewed all over several times during our stay. I believe the owner is trying to come up with a solution for this, but I know it's difficult because they are determined! In spite of the bears, we had a Great stay at this comfortable mountain home.
The house was wonderful! Very clean, great set up for relaxing. We had everything that we could possibly need and then some. We would definitely stay again. Great communication with the host as well!
Property suited our family perfectly! 3 nice sized living areas including basement game room & wet bar. Niece enjoyed the hot tub. Property is somewhat remote up winding roads & driveway, so I’d suggest stopping in town prior to arriving if groceries, etc. are needed.
The property was perfect for us! We loved that each subgroup of our family had their own living space, bedrooms, and bathrooms. The deck was great and so was the fire pit area. The hot tub was fabulous, too. Thanks so much for all the kid-friendly equipment and toys. It made our stay so much easier. The property is also located conveniently to the grocery and so many of the activities we wanted to do. We would definitely consider this property again for future visits. Happy!
We took our three adult children/families and dogs. There was not one complaint by anyone in our party. I do wish there was more seating in the larger basement hang out room. The main and upper floors were a little crowded. We cooked every evening meal in the kitchen and that even worked great. We'd stay there again!
We spent 2 nights at this property with friends. It felt like we were in a tree house! Very well appointed, cozy, comfortable seating on each level. Deck view is beautiful. Only difficulty was finding the driveway in pitch dark. I would suggest solar street address lights at the entrance and solar lights up the driveway. We would stay there again.

Laura and I have been short term rental property owners for over three years. We currently own three properties. We love Asheville and decided to purchase our latest rental here. We've tried to think of everything you will need, especially since we like to stay here at least once a month as well.
Why they chose this property
On Elk Mountain, but so close to Asheville's downtown, the Biltmore, groceries, shopping and more. You will truly feel like you are in the mountains, but you only have to drive up 3 miles from the main road. Four bedrooms, three baths and three common areas make it perfect for multiple couples of families..
What makes this property unique
Close to downtown (10-15 min) and breweries, but with a mountain feel. Groceries less than 10 min.
