The cabin fit our needs perfectly providing us room to hang out and enjoy one another’s company. Short drive into Asheville and Biltmore for sightseeing. All without breaking our banks.
It was a very homey cabin. Well stocked. Had everything you needed. The beds were comfortable. Easy check in and hassle free. Would definitely rent again.
We stayed two nights. Very nice place. We cooked ALOT and the kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need. Lovely quiet place to stay. Definitely would stay there again!!!
Great little family compound. The pool was perfect for the kids and surprisingly warm compared to the mountain streams we ventured out to on day trips. We look forward to returning and spending more time at the cabin. We stayed so busy with hikes and board games and never had time for the hot tub.
Close to downtown Asheville, plenty of amenities, friendly host. Would definitely stay again! Getting there can be a little confusing once at the end of the street, but simple enough to figure out and host was helpful.
We loved our stay at the log cabin. The hot tub was great to sit in in the morning and the back porch looking out into the woods was very relaxing. We had a fire in the fireplace one night and between the games in the books had a great stay.
Our family enjoyed spending Christmas 2024 here. The place was toasty warm with a roaring fire in the fireplace. The cabin was super clean and all glammed up for Christmas! With the owners living close by to our every need was met. We would go back!
The cabin was great. Really enjoyed the fireplace and location. 15-20 minutes from Biltmore. Very well maintained. Plan on staying again in the future.
This clean-as-a-pin cabin is nestled just outside of Asheville on a very pretty property. Easy access to the pool and the hot tub on the back deck make for a relaxing swim-cation. The layout inside the cabin is easy and spacious. Overall a very nice place!
The cabin is older but was very clean and well appointed. Comfortable and close enough to restaurants, grocery stores, and attractions. Biltmore Village was minutes away and we enjoyed hiking right in the cabin backyard! Carolyn and David were very kind and accommodating. We definitely would recommend this place!!
This log cabin in the woods was our home base for touring Asheville and visiting a dear friend. Midweek our kids and grandkids joined us for a few days. The location was perfect: a pool for the grandkids, quiet and restfulness for us, wonderful dogs (especially Bailey!), and an easy drive to dining, playground, zoo, hiking and fabulous scenery. Carolyn was out of town, but David was the perfect host, thoughtful, generous and helpful. We had a great time at the log cabin!
Great place away from the main city but close enough to stores and entertainment. Cabin was clean and equipped with everything we needed. East check in and out. Didn't get a chance to check out the pool as it was a lil cool but it looked clean and refreshing.

Did the trick for a short stay
The cabin was much closer to the owners house than I could tell from the pictures which was fine just unexpected. Also very close to a tiny home they rent out as well. From the back porch however you couldn’t tell you were too close to anyone. Overall it worked fine for our getaway.
We had such a wonderful stay! The lights were on and the Cabin was nice, warn and cozy when we arrived. Very Welcoming! We had everything that we needed and more. We planned a few outings during our stay, but turns out we simply enjoyed relaxing at the cabin in the hot tub or by the fire-pit at night. It is close to everything. Stores less than 5 mins away. David and their sweet dog Bailey came to check on us during our stay, very nice owners. Overall, such a wonderful stay!
The Deer Haven Cabin in Candler, NC, was the perfect gateway to Asheville. Located in Pisgah National Forest about 20 minutes from downtown Asheville, you have the best of a natural area and urban life within minutes of e/o. The cabin was immaculate, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Host Dave met us upon arrival and told us about the momma bear and cub who had been seen at the cabin earlier in the week. (We didn't see them, but did see Dave's rendition.) Although we didn't ultimately use the hot tub or the pool, both were inviting. We highly recommend Deer Haven Cabin.
Our stay was great and worked out well for our family. We had a busy few days and would have loved to just enjoy the cabin and sitting on the porches enjoying nature.

My husband and I are natives of this lovely area. I am a local business owner (Tanning and Hair Salon) and SOFTUB HOT TUB dealer. I love being at home with my 18 Pomeranians who are my fur babies which I am also a small in home breeder of Pomeranians. It is important to my husband and I that our guests have the best vacation possible and make unforgettable memories.
Why they chose this property
Our cabin is very cozy and when you walk in you feel you are home. Build a wood fire, enjoy a movie on Netflix, play a game of checkers or sit in the hot tub. There is so much to do OR do nothing.
