About this property

Silver Lining Cabin -Quiet Getaway, hot tub, Nature Trails, pet door

Hello Relaxation! It’s time for you to breathe in the green of the woods and the purple of the mountains. Lots of light in this cabin so it's easy to relax on the deck or in the 2 person hot tub. Hiking trails to the farm right outside you door.

Reliable WiFi, Heart-Shaped Tub, Fire Pit, Did we mention...Clean!
You want Asheville and the Bltmore Estate? We are a hop, skip and 15 minutes.

SOAK to relax! We have a heart-shaped, whirlpool hot tub in the master bath. But if you want to be under the stars, we have that too, with a two person hot tub on the patio. Constructed in 2017 with romance in mind...simple, efficient cabin. Lots of natural wood used in construction.

If you are up to 4 people read this:
The main level has two bedrooms and two bathrooms each on opposite ends to ensure your privacy. Meet in the middle kitchen/living room or spread out on the deck where there are polywood glider chairs and swivel bar stools. The hot tub, however, holds two. Need to spread out more? Check out Cloud 9 Relaxation Home, VRBO#34641 on Cloud 9 Farm! We also have another cabins for two people to choose from: "Heavenly Hideaway Cabin". Inquire here.

If you have 6 people, read this:
For 3 couples you will have another King bedroom in the daylight walk out lower level with the game room, TV and kitchenette. If you need to expand even more, we have 3 XL bunks in the game room. Do you see the steps in the picture? That is your access to the two levels. No steps are inside the home. Come around to the back to enter onto the main level with a ramp (no steps). Yes, it looks like a duplex but we will NEVER rent the two floors out separately. It is for you to spread out in, giving a touch more privacy to those you bring with you. The hot tub, however, is designed for two.

Want to know more?
We’ve been in the vacation rental business since 2004 as private owners. With this Silver Lining Cabin we aim to accommodate 3 couples of friends or 3 generations with easy living space OR to give honeymooners a luxury suite.

We have real wood floors, a gas log stove in a flag stone corner and a covered deck -a winter view of the mountains and summer views of the trees. You are 960 sq ft on top of 960 sq ft (daylight basement). Fire pit with wood provided, porch swing, blueberry bushes are in the yard.

Silver Lining Cabin completes the quadrilogy of vacation rentals that Cloud 9 Farm already has: Heavenly Hideaway Cabin for 2 and Cloud 9 Relaxation Home for up to 6 and Cloud 9.5 tiny house.

Why the name...Silver Lining Cabin? Well, to keep a positive outlook on life, you'd better look on the sunny side of those lemons that life throws your way. We wanted to create a place where you could contemplate that.

You will be right on the border of our Cloud 9 Farm but you must access Silver Lining Cabin through a quiet development by car. It is almost at the end of a cul de sac neighborhood, with the privacy of Cloud 9 Farm’s Conservation Easement on two sides. A privacy fence does shield you from another house in the development. We have a concrete driveway that looks steep but it is not a problem to traverse with any car. If you like to walk, you will have a pathway to Cloud 9's trails and all that the farm has to offer. (A couple miles of wooded hiking trails, the Cloud 9 Event area with Peterson pond, picnic area and horse shoes, Bocci ball and Croquet court. Or just stop by the pasture fence to call the spoiled cattle and feed them some apples.)

We are pet friendly for up to two dogs. There is a separate pet fee.

This is unique property next to our Conservation Easement Farm. We guarantee you'll love it!

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:

Turn off the lights
The chickens will like your leftover foods so just keep in fridge. The housekeeper will be there soon after you leave so leave door unlocked. Sheets only and towels used need to be piled near washer.

The kitchen was nicely “for cooking. The hot tub was warm when we got there. Everything was nice and clean. There were plenty of towels and linen. The Silver Lining Cabin provided the perfect getaway for my wife, our parents, and our 9-month-old Bernedoodle. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies. We especially enjoyed the home's back deck and fire pit as well as the farm's walking trails and fishing pond.

Our stay at Silver Linings on Cloud 9 farm was truly special and exceptional. Not only was Janet a top notch host from the perspective of the house, everything provided there, communication, and all the information we might need, but she also made it a really special week for our kids. She let them help her with farm chores, feed chickens, and holding baby bunnies. They loved it! They fished, they fed cows, they ran free. The house was plenty of space for our family of five. The kitchen had everything we needed (and I cooked 5 dinners there!), and it felt clean, well organized, and well decorated. We loved the back porch, the swing under the deck, the space in the basement with bunk beds, foosball and air hockey for the kids to play. We also loved the walking trails and the farm in general. It was just a really nice retreat from our lives in suburbia. It was about a 20 minute drive to all things Asheville, with a couple grocery stores and restaurants within a 10 minute drive. You do need to know ahead of time that the basement with the bunk beds can not be accessed from upstairs. You have to walk up the outside stairs to get to the main floor, so I wouldn’t put little kids down there who might call for parents in the middle of the night. We left a cell phone with our teenage daughter just in case something came up and it was fine. As we were pulling away from this trip, my husband and I felt refreshed, and the kids all begged to return someday! Thank you Janet!!

Janet, here, your hostess at Cloud 9 Properties, LLC. You'll find me in the Blueberry Patch most of the time, because in July we have a U-Pick farm but the rest of the time I'm tending the plants, communing with the cows or with my chickens. or with my honey bees. Yes, you guessed it, I'm retired and living the dream of being outside everyday in nature. Our sing-a-long jingle on Cloud 9 Farm is 'Beds, Berries, Trees, Beef and Honey Bees' but I guess you're most interested in the 'Beds' part. You might want to tour our farm with me in the rentable golf cart because it all makes Silver Lining Cabin more meaningful.

Why they chose this property

This Silver Lining Cabin land was purchased to preserve the views on the mountain part of Cloud 9 Farm. We already have 200 acres of conservation land, but when a housing development threatens your peace, you take all efforts to purchase it. And that's what we did. Cloud 9 Farm is in the family with 3 other vacation rentals; Cloud 9 Relaxation Home (for up to 6), Heavenly Hideaway, another cozy cabin for 2 (both on VRBO) and Sawyer's Cabin, for 2-4 people. Yes, they all have hot tubs and three are pet friendly. We over-look the Blue Ridge Mountain valley of Fairview, just 15 miles SE of Asheville, NC. So if you need more than one rental for your family, we've got it. Silver Lining Cabin is built to be clean, efficient, and full of sunshine to cheer you.

What makes this property unique

I live on the farm and am available 24/7 to answer any concerns you may have. You'll feel safe here. Besides the fun of watching the sun rise from the deck or early morning hikes on Cloud 9 Farm where you can see wild turkeys or evidence of deer, hear a rooster, hear the cows crunching on the lush grass in the pasture, see wood ducks or a blue heron fly in to investigate Peterson pond or hike the mountain trails...besides all that, in 15 minutes you can be on the Biltmore Estate or in downtown Asheville going to an eclectic, local foods restaurants
