About this property
Almost Heaven Mountain Top Cabin
Almost Heaven Cabin is the perfect place to escape and unwind. Plan your summer getaway and experience the peaceful charm of authentic log cabin living surrounded by the beauty of Pisgah National Forest.
Whether you’re visiting with family and friends or enjoying a quiet romantic retreat for two, you’ll love the towering trees, beautiful mountain sunrises, and the chance to spot local wildlife right outside your door. After a day exploring the Asheville area, hiking, or taking in the mountain scenery, the cabin is the perfect place to relax and recharge. It’s a little slice of mountain heaven waiting for you.
The cabin is only 20 minutes from downtown Asheville, Black Mountain, the Biltmore Estate, and many other attractions.
Our guests frequently ask two questions: "Who decorated your cabin?" and "Who cleans your cabin?" We hope these questions reflect the personal care and attention to detail we put into making your stay as perfect as possible!
The cabin features pine wood floors, modern appliances, TVs in every room (with cable), Wi-Fi, and a fully stocked kitchen ready for all your cooking needs.
We often get reviews saying, "We thought of everything!" We provide coffee, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher pods, toilet tissue, shampoo and conditioner, towels, linens, and well...just about everything else except your groceries and your favorite playlist.
The cabin's open floor plan has plenty of space and light spread over 3 levels for your group to spread out and relax!
We welcome small pets. Please read the pet policy at the bottom.

Note that our log cabin is only suitable for children aged 10 and older. The cabin was not built to current building codes and may not be suitable for younger children. For their safety, we ask families with younger children to look for another great place to book. We appreciate your understanding.
The cabin is located in a private community and access is typical of mountain roads you will find in WNC. The last 400’ of the road is gravel.
There is only one other cabin past this cabin at the top of this private mountain setting.
**PETS: We love animals, and your four-legged pals, who are 35 lbs or less, are welcome to stay with approval and a $50 pet fee ($100 for monthly stays). We just ask that you don't allow them on the beds or furniture. If you cannot keep them off the couches, please bring covers to protect them, but we are very strict about our no pets on the bed policy. If an over-enthusiastic pet happens to leave their mark, their loving human guests will be financially responsible. Please let us know what type of pet you have when booking. Read more pet policy rules under the house rules section.
You'll be sharing this mountain hideaway with some pretty amazing locals—bears, deer, wild turkeys, owls, hawks, raccoons, possums, and bobcats may make an appearance! We welcome you to Asheville, where outdoor fun, stunning scenery, soulful music, great food, and unforgettable experiences await.

About the host
Hosted by wende kimble
My husband and I have lived in Asheville for 20 years. It is our joy to share our special cabin with guests so they can create lasting memories with their friends and family.
Why they chose this property
It's very private in the woods but close to everything. The cabin is quiet with lots of wildlife including bears, deer, bobcats, and raccoons to name a few. The cabin is in a beautiful setting with a pastoral drive passing farms and cows and spread-out neighborhoods. Hard to believe it is so close to downtown and all the activities that Asheville has to offer!
What makes this property unique
Hiking right out the front door. Lots of nature surrounding the cabin and very private and quiet. It's convenient to all things Asheville, making it a great home base while exploring.
Premier Host
They consistently provide great experiences for their guests
