Best of both worlds! Surrounded by nature and still close to town!
Solitude Ridge, the name says it all.
In 15 minutes you can rideshare to vibrant downtown Asheville with some of the country's best breweries. Afterwards, you can grill and relax on your completely private deck. After quiet morning coffee in a rocking chair on the front porch, you could wander into the wild forest before grabbing breakfast in Black Mountain 10 minutes away.
This simple home is the perfect place for your party of 7 to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of authentic Appalachia.
About the Space Ample comfortable outdoor seating and plenty of space to lounge around, do yoga, and read a good book. Board games, books and Roku sticks to enjoy by the gas fireplace and a fully equipped workspace for those who need to take care of business.
Guest access You'll have the whole house and backyard, as well as walking access (up the steep and wild mountain) to our little flat spot with a view at the top of our two acres.
Of Note: The steep, paved driveway can add an exciting element for those who enjoy solitude in nature! Unfortunately it cannot accommodate guests with RVs or large trailers.
There are stairs inside the home that are not suitable for young children, as they have a railing that children could easily climb through. We do not recommend that families with toddlers book our property. Thank you for understanding.

The house was cozy, comfortable, and conveniently located. Surrounded by peaceful forest, it's a great place to unwind. The owner made check-in and check-out easy. We had a great time and would visit again!
We had a wonderful two-month stay while we looked for our new home in the region. The host is a pleasure to work with. Very responsive and helpful. The place is exactly as described and very peaceful. We fell in love with Mountain living while there and in fact purchased a similar home. Swannanoa is coming back from Helene and everyone is so friendly.
The place is comfortable with 3 bedrooms and a large amount of decking outside to enjoy nature. Views are obscured by the trees in summer, I suspect Fall and Winter you can more clearly see mountains. The location is quick access to Swannanoa as well as I-40 to get to Black Mountain or Asheville. The owner was very responsive to questions and we will definitely plan to stay here again.
this is a mountain retreat with a great view looking west and is in a secluded area but close to everything you need. there is a steep driveway to navigate, once you’re here it is very relaxing.
