We had a great stay! Cabin was comfortable and well appointed. The views off the deck were amazing. Enjoyed coffee out there every morning and wine every evening. Easy access to town and the highway.

Beautiful view from deck and great room. Bedrooms nice. Pretty steep driveway but managed in a minivan no problem. Only issues were that pots and pans are stored in drawer under the oven and the drawer was very dirty with bits of old food and grease. Guests shouldn't have to wash dishes before using them. Cupboards had plenty of room. Why not store pots/pans there? Also, the gas grill was very dirty, and we had to scrub clean before using. In addition, it was a very small/cheap grill for house this size. Overall stay was positive!

The house was wonderful. It was immaculate. The kitchen was fantastic. It was located near things we wanted to do. It was delightful sitting on the porch. The only problem was the road to get in and the parking. We are in our 80s and found turning the car around on the steep gravel road with the cliff on one side very difficult. Fortunately, our granddaughter came to stay with us. We used her car. Unfortunately, she had to leave a day early so we left when she did.

Great views, clean, well kept

It was a good rental, clean, very friendly owner. Loved the views, the driveway is gravel and I would recommend a 4wd vehicle but not a big deal.

Nice hideaway

Best part is the view! So nice to sit on porch & relax! Had a good stay with everything we needed. Great location. Comfortable beds & bedding. Backing out of house a bit cumbersome like others have mentioned but made it work. Grant, the host, responds quickly & accompanied any needs we had. Would definitely stay here again!

Great for a family getaway

We had a great time! The cabin was very clean, had everything we needed, and absolutely beautiful views of the mountains. As others have said, getting to the cabin and the parking is a little tricky, the parking spots are tight and steep. But I think that’s to be expected with a cabin in the mountains. It’s close to town but feels like you’re far away, it’s a very peaceful location.

Best of both worlds

The house was perfect for our group. Wonderful views, secluded, yet close to the city. It gave us the best of both worlds and I have already recommended this house to friends and family. Grant was helpful and easy to work with. Highly recommend this property for anyone.

Wonderful space

Very clean and comfortable. Everything worked as promised. Bedroom and common space arrangements were perfect. The main deck view was amazing (no leaves on the trees yet) - and we also enjoyed the private decks off two of the bedrooms and screened porch is another outdoor-ish spot to enjoy. This is the mountains - so first finding the drive took some attention. But it all became easy to navigate during our stay. Highly recommend - esp for a group of adults with a designated driver. :)

Mountain Life/City Life

The pictures of this cabin look awesome. I chose it because of all the windows, light, balconies, and location. It is comfortable and well furnished. The location to Asheville is very convenient. The master bedroom is upstairs and is a suite. The two bathrooms are small and present some challenges to share but can be done. The number of towels in each bathroom is impressive. The outside of the cabin could use a good cleaning and some improvements. That is cosmetic but would be nice. The outside furniture does not invite you to “come and relax.” We could not get the upstairs t.v. To show a picture. The owner nor manager were helpful in response to this matter. Parking for one car is adequate but more would be a challenge. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in the mountains.

Rental in the trees

This house is in great shape and in a beautiful location close to downtown Asheville. The porch needed to be cleaned after spring's pollen along with some interior ceiling fans. The kitchen needed more flatware but otherwise was very nice and the owner provided much appreciated paper towels, dish soap, hand soap, body soap and toilet paper. The road up to the home is winding but doable, the driveway is very steep but in the warmer months should be no problem. I would definitely recommend using your emergency brake once you've parked up hill hear the house. There are bears in the woods at times so be careful not to let your children or dogs roam around by themselves. The bears live there and the ones we saw were just hanging out letting the cubs play. If you don't bother them, they shouldn't bother you. Please note the house rules for disposing of garbage and securing the home before leaving. This home was a delight! A beautiful oasis in the trees with fantastic views!!! If you're traveling in the winter it's highly recommended to have 4 wheel drive. We will definitely be renting this home again.

We have stayed at this property several times before and keep returning! It could use some new towels however; not quite enough for 4 ladies and they had a weird odor! But the addition of gas logs was great!

This was a lovely, clean and well furnished home in the woods very close to downtown Asheville. The decor was well done and welcoming. The deck offers beautiful views. Some people mentioned a steep driveway. We had 2 full size large SUVs and had no difficulty with getting to the home or with parking. Please don't let this prevent you from staying in this lovely spot. We are three couples who enjoy a fall weekend in the Carolinas each year and this was the perfect spot. Thanks Josh!

Beautiful home and property. Amazing views. We went to a few nearby parks which is where we saw a family of bears. House was close to downtown which we enjoyed as well. I definitely recommend this property and look forward to staying there again on next vacation.

The property exceeded our expectations. The view is beautiful and we absolutely loved the deck. We even saw bears at a safe distance. The property has everything you could possibly need. We were so impressed with the cleanliness and the very nice furnishings. We went to the Grove Park Inn for dinner one night which was amazing and only 10 minutes away. You can also make in to downtown in 10 minutes. Probably my favorite thing about the property is the elevated deck. It’s a beautiful place for sunrise and sunset. And it is up in the trees so I didn’t worry about the bears. We will definitely come back.

Great Location

We stayed two nights. Had never been to Asheville before. Location was perfect. With Mountain View’s comes mountain roads. Once you figure it out, it is not too bad. House was great for my wife, our 16 year old and me. Plenty of room to spread out. House was well finished, we did not cook, but everything you could need was there. Would stay here again.
