This place is special for the people who like nature. Less than 2 minutes from the beach, you will fall in love with the fascinating scenery sunset, you can walk on the beach for miles and often you are the only people on the beach, great for sunbathing, swimming and surfing. The colors during the sunrise or sunset are quite stunning at times.

You can enjoy the tranquility to relax at the sounds of tropical birds and waves or just sitting out on the terrace where one could observe lush pastures on which cows are grazing peacefully.

At the same time you can discover the beautiful paradise named Costa Rica and enjoy many different activities from a single centralized point as our comfortable nest. There are national parks and others places of interest both north and south of the villa that one can get quite easily and within the hour. Your host is inviting and friendly and helpful to do any tour in the area.

The apartment is completely equipped independent with private bath and hot water.

Everything she posted on her site is exactly what we got the apartment was amazing everything you could possibly need for a home was there she was the most gracious host she even went out and bought a memory foam mattress topper for our bed because my husband had a bad back she is amazing I would recommend everyone to stay there

Wonderful Onsite Manager

The apartment was exactly as listed and perfect for my wife and me. The onsite managers were extremely helpful. Michel picked us up from the nearest transport dropoff and made a special trip to take us to the grocery store. When we were leaving the grandson of one of the managers drove us to our next lodging about 5 miles away as no taxis were available. This apartment is very close to a long beach and the onsite pool is perfect for cooling your heels in the CR heat. One note for prospective renters, you should have a rental car if you're going to stay longer than a few days. The onsite managers are very helpful but carting us tourists around really isn't their responsibility.

Not the place for me.

Hi and good day, It was my own fault that I booked a fairly cheap accommodation. Claudette is a lovely person, but it was just not my kind of place, but it was clean.. But, I dont like ants in my bedroom. The Electricity kept going off because they repaired something at the main mast. It was of course too hot without A/C. So this was not her fault. The pool and garden is beautiful, and Claudette is very helpful. She would need to invest into some Renovations! I stayed for 3 nights, then I moved out. Of course I did not get a refund. I am sorry that I cannot give you a better Review.

Hello, I'm very sorry you were not totally satisfied with your stay, We are in the tropics and we do not have the same facilities as developed countries or five star hotels. We always do our best to accommodate all our customers. I'm sorry about the power outage, but our infrastructure does not allow us to have a backup generator 24/7. I'm glad we were able to help you with your international calls at no additional cost for you. We are a Villa in the Tropics, but still have our customer service and some technology available for our customers.

Get Away to Costa Rica

We had a wonderful time at Villa Claudia! Claudette has a lovely property--the gardens and pool are impeccable with butterflies and most daily viewings of Scarlett Macaws--delightful!! Claudette is very helpful and responsive to questions, needs, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed the "small village" atmosphere, encountered no issues and found the local residents friendly. An added bonus was meeting so many nice people from around the world who stayed at the other casita attached to Villa Claudia. The location is ideal for day trips traveling to the north/south/east (to go west you would be right in the Pacific!) with Jaco and Parritta just down the road. If you like beach front warmth without overcrowding, you are looking at the right place! Thank you for a memorable stay! We miss you, Claudette, and pets to the kitty-cats and our favorite toads :-)

Beautiful villa!

We stayed at Villa Claudia for 4 nights and had a great time. The villa itself is so beautiful and clean - Claudette takes such good care of it! Out suite was so nice and clean - better than I expected. It had everything you need - fully stocked kitchen, AC, TV, safe etc. Very nice landscaping and courtyard with a pool and grilling areas - not big, but so cozy and relaxing. I kept thinking "I want my backyard to look like this". Villa is a short walk to a beautiful secluded beach (our first day it was just us and another group of people surfing). Ask Claudette for boogie boards and catch some waves (we don't surf). Claudette was a wonderful host - gave us recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area. The location is right off main road, convenient to go to Jaco and to Manuel Antonio. The only negative that I saw is safety - it seems like there are some questionable people living nearby, hence the metal bars on all windows and doors, as well as fence going all around the property. You just need to make sure to lock your car/suite and not leave anything in the open. Overall it was a lovely place and I would stay here again.

35 Wonderful Nights

We were very fortunate to use VBRO and find this wonderfully located property. The apartment was exceptional, fully appointed, easy to move right in and use for more than one month. A rental car is useful but not necessary although our travel plans made use of one for local site=seeing. Claudia, our owner-hostess met all our needs (grocery advice, travel arrangements, local info) so we felt right at home. The location, with the beach. sunsets and ocean activities, was awesome and priceless and have provided unforgetable memories We have highly reccomended the property to our family and friends. Esterillos Centro is not fully discovered, as yet, and a great place to visit, enjoy, and have a relaxing vacation .

My new home away from home!

Claudette was a great host! The apt is perfect for one couple. If you are looking for a place away from home this is it! A/C, American Cable, Wireless Internet, Hot Showers and Cleaning services. The beach is only one minute away "walking". Great waves for surfing and quiet beach perfect for romantic walks. Parrita town is only 10 minutes away where you can grocery stores, restaurants and night clubs then you can go back to your quiet lovely nest! You will not find a better place! I've found my new home away from home! Will see you soon!!!

Great spot for relaxing.

Claudette was a great host. The apartment is located a short 3-minute walk from a quiet beach with soft sand and beautiful sunsets. It is very well-maintained and beautifully appointed. It is a short drive from Carara National Park, Manuel Antonio, Jaco and other wonderful sites. Highly recommended!

My husband I stayed at this lovely villa for four nights in February 2010. The apartment was very comfortable, clean, and welcoming. The beach was literally a one minute walk down a quiet road- and it was essentially a private beach. We never shared the sand with other people. Having the fully stocked kitchenette was really nice to be able to make a few of our own meals while we were on vacation. The location was perfect for exploring Manual Antionio park, Jaco, and places in between. It was an easy drive from SJO. Claudette was available for recommendations of restaurants in the area and for booking tours. The safe in the room, the swimming pool, and the lovely porch were all ammenities that added to our enjoyment. The villa helped make our visit to Costa Rica very comfortable and enjoyable. There is a herd of cows across the street that added to the ambiance.
