Clean, cozy, and convenient. Our room is shared with the second floor resident but is a private quarters with a bathroom and small kitchen. There is also a private resident downstairs who is the contact for keys and has great recommendations. The place accommodates 4 but I would recommend no more than 2 adults and 2 children. 4 adults would be close quarters. Great for a couples stay. It's walking distance from almost everything.

I think the first thing to note is that I would like to have known that there were so many steps to the rental. My mom is 76 and fairly active but if she wasn’t as capable, I would have been especially worried about the stairs. We got the key from the neighbor downstairs and he informed us that the thermostat was in his property and if we needed to change it we would need to come downstairs to tell him. Not terribly convenient. The space is tiny. It was fine for us as a landing spot but I can’t imagine how 4 people, or even 3 would comfortable be there. There was a spot on the floor on the side of the bed close to the mirror that looked like it needed to be cleaned - not a part of the unique way the treated the floor. It was nice to have the amenities that are listed but if you need more than 2 spoons, bring your own! It was very close to some fun places to check out.

Great stay with all the essentials!

This property was a perfect stay for my mom and I and checked off all the essentials. The location is great as well as the check in and check out process. This property is an upstairs suite above the homeowners living quarters but there is an exterior flight of stairs that leads to a private entrance to the property. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect for two

Loved staying at this quaint rental in Port A. Everything you need for two people. Very clean. Everything looks brand new and fresh. Hosts were very nice and available if we needed anything.

Fathers Day weekend

What a great place to stay! It was just myself and my 12 year old daughter! Both Saraha and Ernie were so kind, helpful and thoughtful for the 2 nights we stayed. Daughter slept on futon with extra mattress and linens provided by host and i was completely comfortable in bedroom! Will certainly hope to book this place again when we travel back to Port A!!!

Short Get-away

Just wanted to go to the beach for 2 days & 1 night. It is hard to find a place that will book for only 1 night, but found this gem. The place was just as described, small but just the right size for 2 people. It was clean, quiet, quaint and within walking distance to many of the good restaurants & shops. Easy communication with the hosts. Definitely would stay there again.

Small But Cozy

Everything was fine. Only surprise was not realizing that it is a 2nd floor unit. Not a problem for most but I have knee issues. I just assumed it was 1st floor. The downstairs neighbor who had the key, is a jewel, kind ,friendly and helpful. The owner was immediately responsive when I had a question. This was a good experience.

Description and pictures are misleading

The description and the pictures of the place are misleading. First, at the time of booking, there was no outside pictures posted. So we messaged the owners for the outside picture. We got a message that they don’t have one. This was unusual, but we took the risk. It turned out that there was reasons for the lack of picture. The description of the place says: “bungalow.” Bungalow is (usually) a single story separate cottage. But the place has turned out to be a very small unit on the second floor of the two story house. This means that you will have neighbors on your right and under you. Guess what? The sound isolation in this house is non-existent. You will hear anything that people say (don’t even mention the TV) beneath you and on your side. Bye-bye quiet sleep and privacy… In addition to this, the place is really tiny compared to its pictures. You barely have space to move around furniture. Finally, if you want to use the kitchen, you better bring your utensils as the provided ones are not enough to do even a basic meal. On the flip side, people are friendly and the place is (relatively) clean. So it’s up to you what you value more.

Ideal location. Grocery store, restaurants, and beaches are minutes away. This was our second stay at this property. Check in and out was easy. Hosts are easy to reach and quick to respond to questions. Property may be a bit too cozy for some but a great value for the area. Looking forward to visiting again.
