Excellent home, beautiful, clean, plenty of room. large TV’s in every Bedroom, sunroom, and extra large TV on the 3rd Floor. House is so large you may want to carry your phone with you so can text your other guest just in case you cannot locate them. Ample parking in the drive. Would love to stay there again and again. Host was great. He stayed there a week and we started feeling like that house with our own home and we didn’t want to leave.
This home is perfect for our family Christmas, we have used it 2 years in a row and this year was just as wonderful as last. They decorate for it even though our Christmas is usually in Jan. or Feb. which means a lot to our children. Home is clean and well cared for. We will definitely stay again.
Great home, well decorated. Enjoyed a family weekend for a family wedding. Great memories made with all. Comunicarion with host was prompt and freindly.
We had a great weekend - location is fantastic, so many different comfortable areas in the home to relax, visit, play board games and watch football! Everyone can be happy doing their thing! Kitchen was wonderful, well stocked with everything you need! Host was fantastic!
All good except no soap or shower gel in any of the showers. Excellent stay otherwise. Towels are very nice quality. Perfect for a friends or family gathering.

I’m sorry! We don’t advertise to include shampoo or body wash. It’s something I want to be able to provide at some point though. Next time, I’d be happy to have items delivered. 😁Thanks for the feedback! I’m glad you enjoyed your stay!
The house is stunning and roomy; well equipped to entertain our kids. There was adequate room for all of us to park. We had a boat, trailer, and 7 vehicles.
This home was the perfect stay for our family while attending a family wedding in the area. The historical aspects in the home were the extra touch that made the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend.
This property was perfect for our group of friends and kids! Plenty of room to spread out and plenty of toys for the kids to play with! Will definitely be staying here again when we are in town!

Thank you for the kind words! I’m so happy you enjoyed the holiday!
We rented this home for the second time to bring our extended family (kids and grandkids ages 2-8) for a weekend. The house was beautiful, clean, spacious, and had something for everyone to do. The location was great, and communication with the owner was quick and helpful. We would like to stay here again and would highly recommend it to others.
We had some friends and relatives in the area stop in to say hi and everyone was amazed how nice it was. Perfect location, everything we needed was easy to find.
Thank you so much for opening your home.
Beautiful home with plenty of space for our family to gather to celebrate Christmas. The kitchen is spacious and well stocked for cooking needs. Felt like home with all the little touches and decorations for the holidays. This is our second stay and will definitely be back!
Elizabeth made check in so very easy for us. She explained everything and was always available for any questions. The kitchen was the best I wish I had it at my house. We’ve stayed in many rentals but this kitchen was supplied beyond belief. Couldn’t have been better. The home was clean and better than expected. I’d stay there again and highly recommend it. Thank you. Helen

This house was amazing! It was large enough for our extended family, clean, had plenty to do for all ages, and was near to everywhere we wanted to go. Elizabeth was very responsive and helpful, and the accommodations couldn't have been better!
We stayed at this home for a family get together. The home is amazing and is perfect for any get together or visit to Storm Lake. The host is very responsive and really takes care to make sure your visit is perfect. We were amazed that it is stocked better than any other VRBO we have ever stayed at. The home is also beautifully restored and is incredible on its own. We really all feel this is the most incredible place we have stayed at and love to come back!

About the host
Hosted by Elizabeth Krocheski
I’m originally from Storm Lake and now live in the Twin Cities with my kids. My grandparents owned the house in the 60-70’s and where my mom grew up. I was so excited to purchase it for my family vacations to Storm Lake but also able to share this historic home with the community. 😁
Why they chose this property
I love the location of this house. Not only is it close to the lake, trails and parks; it’s walking distance to a darling downtown shopping area. Storm Lake has an icecream parlor, multiple antique shops, an awesome gift shop and many other fun and unique stores. The property has a very large lawn for games and summer fun. We added a new driveway and patio on the back for grilling and lots of space parking or extra picnic tables.
