About this property

Mandadodo - BONNAY-SAINT-YTHAIRE

Both passionate about art and nature, Anne & Bernard open the doors to an authentic large traditional house dating from the 19th century, a charming "maisonnette" restored & revisited as a relaxing holiday retreat, nestled in the peace and quiet of a picturesque little rural residential hamlet with old-world charm. Absolute tranquility in the heart of unspoiled countryside, to explore during relaxing walks or mountain bike rides, nestled in the heart of the magnificent local bocage (where the peaceful & famous Charolais cows graze), in the hollow of the green Guye valley (& its fish-filled river) in a protected area in ZNIEFF for its rich fauna & flora. Magnificent landscaped setting all around, combining fields of crops & wooded meadows, hillsides of vineyards and beautiful wild forests. Enchanting rural & natural setting & 100% relaxing. Spacious gîte with good comfort. A gentle country charm with a flea market and bohemian feel, combined with the owner's unique mandala-inspired decor (elegant murals, painted furniture, and paintings). A cozy, cabin-style bedroom nestles under the eaves. A large, exposed terrace (complete with a lovely sheltered mini-terrace) opens onto a pleasant 250m² enclosed flower garden, dotted with the owner's stone sculptures, and offering an unusual mandala vegetable garden cultivated using permaculture techniques (arranged in a circle and rich in numerous perennial plants; picking possible with the owners' consent). Composition: Detached house adjoining the owners' house (complete independence) on a gated property. Electric heating. Duplex gîte. Ground floor: living room-kitchen-lounge (single-person sofa bed 130x180cm as an extra), bathroom (shower/WC). 1st floor: mezzanine bedroom (double bed 160x200cm). Terrace + mini sheltered terrace + enclosed garden (250m²) + bicycle storage + private parking. Mini-market 7 km away. Supermarket & small shops 10 km away. All amenities 19 km away. Charming authentic large traditional 19th century house revisited as a relaxing holiday home - with a pleasant enclosed garden including an unusual "mandala" vegetable garden - nestled in a quiet, typical rural hamlet, 7 km from the shopping village of Salornay-sur-Guye (on-site mini-market) & 10 km from Saint-Gengoux-le-National, a picturesque medieval village labeled "Cités de Caractère de Bourgogne-Franche-Comté" ("Clunisian Site" / numerous amenities on-site including a supermarket). Total tranquility, nestled in the heart of unspoiled countryside (protected by ZNIEFF) at the crossroads of the Mâconnais & Côtes Chalonnaises vineyards (first vines only 4 km away), in the heart of the bucolic Guye valley, a magnificent hilly setting combining viticulture, nature & agriculture, between hedged fields, vineyards & beautiful wild forests, neighboring a vast area protected in "Natura 2000 Zone" (for its rich ecosystems), not far from the wooded foothills of the South Burgundy massif (wild & protected). Ultra-privileged location on the routes of several marked hiking trails (including a vast network of "green walks" winding through the area, to be explored on foot or by mountain bike), the circuit of Romanesque churches & the "Burgundy Wine Route" (extended by the nearby "Route des Grands Vins"), 1 km from the GR76, 10 km from the Green Route of the "Grande Boucle de Bourgogne du Sud" (connected to the "Cycloroute71" / Tour de la Saône-et-Loire à vélo), 14 km from a marked cycle route serving the famous Canal du Centre (& its Green Route attached to the EuroVélo6 cycle route as well as the "Tour de Bourgogne à Vélos"), 17 km from the renowned GTM mountain bike route labeled "VTT FFC" (Grand Tour du Massif Sud-Bourgogne connected to a vast network of identical marked paths crisscrossing the massif) & 25 km from the renowned Mont Saint-Romain mountain bike downhill stadium. Ideally located in the heart of southern Burgundy, at the crossroads of Chalonnais, Tournugeois-Clunisois (labeled "Land of Art and History"), Mâconnais, Bresse Bourguignonne & Charollais-Brionnais (labeled "Land of Art and History"), splendid preserved territories rich in sublime landscapes, renowned gastronomy as well as an exceptional historical heritage (notably medieval & Romanesque). 15 km from Taizé (& its famous religious community), 16 km from the medieval village of Mont-Saint-Vincent (one of the most beautiful sites in Burgundy with a literally unique 360° panoramic "belvedere"), 19 km from the illustrious abbey city of Cluny, 24 km from the medieval village of Brancion, 31 km from Tournus, 35 km from Charolles, 38 km from Chalon-sur-Saône (labeled "Town of Art and History"), 40 km from the sumptuous landscaped jewel of the Roches de Solutré & Vergisson labeled "Grand Site de France", 40 km from Mâcon (Mâcon Loché TGV station 41 km away), 41 km from Le Creusot (renowned amusement park of Les Combes / Creusot TGV station 35 km away), 48 km from the city of the "sacred heart of Paray-le-Monial & 52 km from Louhans (capital of Bresse). An atypical refuge with "bohemian" charm, nestled in a soothing "green setting", for a rejuvenating romantic break!

Séjour très agréable, reposant dans un paysage très joli. Le gite est très mignon, confortable et adapté à nos animaux de compagnie. Beaucoup de randonnées à faire, de visites et de dégustations de bons plats régionaux.
