This is our second visit to this property. We really enjoyed our stay. Watching the wild life in the yard was a pleasant plus. We saw deer, rabbits, squirrels, and chipmunks. The pool was delightful and really enjoyed by our family.
There is no other word but PERFECTION on all levels! The cleanliness, the convenience, the communication, the everything! The pool is so well taken care of, and we felt safe and comfortable. The lake views were more than expected and the decor and furnishings were thoughtful and exquisite! We will be back year after year if we can! What a wonderful place to make wonderful memories!! Home away from home!
Everything was as expected, consistent with the listing. All the rooms were clean & ready for us. it was a great place! The host was friendly & very responsive with questions. Our family had a great experience here!!
The lake views are gorgeous! We spent so much time outside chatting and ate many meals outside on the picnic tables too. It was fun to watch the birds, bunnies and deer. The rooms were perfect for our family gathering. We enjoyed an afternoon trip over to Claytor Lake State Park to fish and hike. The drive to and from Virginia Tech is easy too!

Everyone had a nice time. There was plenty of room and we enjoyed our stay.
This house was great for our family vacation. The pool and game room were great; kids and adults loved them. It was very close to Claytor Lake State Park where you could rent boats at a reasonable price and even had a beach at the lake. The view of the lake was beautiful as were the sunrises and there were deer everywhere. The Mason Jar restaurant that was just down the road was a great place to eat, highly recommended. Walmart was only one exit south on 81. House manager was very responsive. Now for the negatives: the first floor was at different levels and the floor was uneven, causing the kids to trip several times. There are no bathtubs just showers. There wasn't a welcome booklet with all the details of what the guest needed to do. There were two charcoal grills but not a gas grill. Though the neighbors were very nice they were very close, couldn't play in the backyard without something going into their yard.Overall, we loved this place and added to places we would stay in the future.
This would be the second time we've stayed here. Great location near the state park. The pool has been redone and is excellent. A great place to unplug and rejuvenate yourself.
Our family loved the location…even though the weather was not on our side for this vacation, we still loved hanging out in the house and enjoying the view of the lake.
Wonderful house, great stay. So peaceful with gorgeous views, deer everywhere. House has absolutely everything you need and the arcade games and air hockey were so fun. We were staying for a wedding at the state park and it was convenient for family to come in and out and the bride to get ready. Lots of folks in and out and never felt crowded. We enjoyed it and would definitely stay again! Host was very prompt to respond to questions.
The property is beautiful. Interior is excellent and spacious. Communication with the property owner was prompt, professional, and very courteous. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful property. The home was clean and the kitchen was well equipped with anything one might need for cooking and eating in.
This place is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed the private pool, beautiful scenery, and family time. It was close to nearby stores and restaurants if needed. The owners are absolutely beyond amazing and accommodating and very quick to respond to any questions I had during my stay. We would highly recommend staying here!
House was great. Two balconies were great! We saw deer fawns suckling their mom. We saw lots of deer, rabbits, and birds right off the decks! The lakeview was perfect and the pool was great! We really liked the location!
We had a group of family age ranges adults to seven years old. Everyone had a wonderful time and the game room and pool especially were big pluses. There was a brief tower outage and the owner was quick to respond to messages and had flashlights delivered within an hour.
Fabulous weekend! 30 minute drive to Va Tech for graduation weekend. We loved the lake views with coffee and toes in the pool! Added bonus…my hokie loves galaga…so the video games rivaled our trip to the barcade! You’ll live it here!!
