We came for a quick family getaway and really enjoyed this peaceful spot! We fished off the dock, enjoyed the sunsets, and let the kids have their own suite downstairs. Very fun!
Beautiful views and perfectly appointed house! Room for everyone and lots of parking. Will be back!

Great stay!
We had a lovely stay with extended family. Even though it rained the entire time we were there, there were plenty of games to play. The layout was perfect for 4 adults and 4 kids. We had plenty of space. The hosts were very helpful and easily reachable if we needed anything. We look forward to returning in the future.
Booked this for a weekend at a Hokie game, some coming up from NC and some down from DC so it was a good location for all. House was great, plenty of room for all, beautiful view every morning and evening, and good location to get to and from Lane Stadium for the game. We'd book here again in a heartbeat, good communication from property manager as well. Thanks for a great weekend!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at this property! We had a range in ages from 13 to 89 and it was perfect for all of us! Being able to walk right out to the lake without a ton of stairs was really nice. Swimming/floating/fishing off the dock was lovely. The house was so comfortable and we all had plenty of space. The teenagers really enjoyed the downstairs area, Everything was exactly as pictured and house was clean and well-stocked.

Wonderful stay
We had a fabulous stay at this property. Not only is the setting beautiful, the house itself is very well-maintained and clean. We loved the piles of fresh clean towels and the well-stocked kitchen, in addition to the multiple areas of seating for conversation and dining. Sherry, our contact person, was very helpful and easily accessible. We thought the area was a great place to vacation. We enjoyed hiking the Cascades trail, walking the New River trail, kayaking on Claytor lake, and visiting the town of Draper. We would highly recommend this property for a family or group to enjoy the beautiful setting and area.
Property is amazing, we felt so at home! Wish it could have been nicer weather but we still enjoyed the deck and lake views. We chose to book here for our son’s graduation from RU with his master's. This way all of us could stay together with my 90 year old father. Ended up being 2 less people so we didn’t even use one room. So quiet and peaceful. Thank you!
The five of us thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay at this property. It was convenient, clean, very well-maintained, and set on a beautiful piece of Claytor lake. We liked all the little touches in the house: the piles of clean towels, the night lights, and the seating availability on both levels. Sherry was very easy to communicate with and made herself available. We would definitely book this place again. We enjoyed hiking, the Cascade trail, walking the new river, trail, visiting Draper, and kayaking on the lake. Fabulous property
We had a lot of fun. The backyard was much steeper than expected, especially for a group ages 65 to 76. Hard to carry wood down to the camp fire. Some areas not cleaned as well as others. But we still had a good time. You may get to see jet fighters coming low and over the water. Wow!
We thoroughly enjoyed spending Thanksgiving at Lake Vista. The house is well appointed for groups of all ages and the view is outstanding. A great experience all the way around!
It's located in a lovely secluded neighborhood. We rented a couple 2 person kayaks for a few days -- very convenient, the rental place will deliver it. The house's bottom floor is the best place to hang out. Would love to come again.
Perfect house for a family get away, with unbelievable views of Claytor Lake. House is clean and up to date. Property owners are incredibly helpful. We love staying here when we come to town to watch the Hokies play.
Excellent spot to relax and a quick ride to our Sons graduation ceremonies at Radford. Private but safe, cozy but lots of space and numerous sitting areas for entrainment and relaxation both inside and outside.
My family and I had a very fun time. It was very relaxing and we didn't have to worry about anything. The property manager was very helpful and kind. The view was also very beautiful.
Lovely spot overlooking late Claytor. Swimming from dock and lovely accommodations with everything we needed. The people who manged the property were very helpful and attentive. We all enjoyed being in this fantastic home. Thanks
This was the perfect place for us to stay while we were in town to watch the Hokies play. It started off by a fire in the firepit, relaxing and enjoying the view of the lake and the Fall Foliage. We were gone most of the day on Sat. so didn't get to enjoy it. But, the house was very accomodating for our 3 families (6 adults and 1 teenager). The kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable, and lots of room in the basement to hang out. Best part was the view from the deck. The only wish we had is having access to the fireplace, but it was locked so we couldn't use it. Overall, we would definitely book this house again.
