Location was great! Place was pretty much as advertised.
Second day someone threw a glass bottle that left broken glass in the pool. Unable to use the pool. Future renters were allowed to cancel, but we were refused any type of compensation for not being allowed pool access.

Wonderful location was not worth the price tell microwave door did not have a handle called multiple times they never came in 5 days no lights in the refrigerators
This was our 2nd consecutive year of staying in this property (we had the back side last year, ocean-facing side this year). Lots of space makes it perfect for our coed church group while in town for a collegiate conference. Easy access to the beach. Overall very clean and move-in ready on arrival. Check-in was on time and easy. We had no need to contact the renter. Beds are extremely comfortable. Living room area is just right for group hangs... furniture is getting a little older but still comfortable and clean. The big dining table is also a plus for group meals. My only complaint is something I'm not sure the owners can change, and was a stroke of bad luck for me: the streetlight on the front of the building shone directly into the 2nd floor bedroom (I have trouble sleeping if it's not dark). A small complaint but it did not affect the quality of our stay.Overall, pleased with our stay and we will be eyeing a return next year if it's available.

Hi Peter, #1) Thanks for being our guest. #2) Let’s review our communication recap and conversations we had via the VRBO thread. One of the fridges (there are TWO in the condo, as well as a stand up freezer), needed replacing and our window with Lowes delivery was between 12-4. We advised you prior to your arrival that the fridge was in the process of being switched and Lowes was delivering us another, however, for whatever reason, they refused to call us ahead of time to let us know it was coming, which resulted in the failed delivery. We thought you may want the 2nd fridge but you quickly made it clear you did not want to be of any help. Also, we in no way asked for you to sign (we have documentation of that) we only asked if the people were still there and not let them leave so we would head that way to sign. We also: bought plenty of light bulbs needed and all of your special request items (many that were not advertised as coming with the rental) and had them delivered to you quickly. You offered to put the light bulbs in the lamps and we did not ask you to repair one thing. We went above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. We have had plenty of happy renters, families, and many five star reviews across all of our booking channels. We in no way deserve this review in any way, shape or form. Thanks and we hope you enjoyed your visit to North Myrtle Beach, SC!
The place could’ve been cleaned better. The couches were horrible. They could’ve had a cleaning company come and cleaned off the couches being that they weren’t going to replace them because we had to put the sheets on the couches in order to even sit on them that’s how nasty they were. There were so many gnats in the kitchen to the point that you didn’t want to eat in there and cockroaches and also water dripping down on the kitchen counter by the microwave the last night. We’ve tolerated the place because we spent a lot of money to stay there, but never again.

Host responded quickly to a request for more flatware (there were only 4 forks in a house with 8 bedrooms). Location is convenient to the beach. Pool is small and shared by MANY units. All tools in the "gourmet" kitchen are cheap and poor quality. Dishwasher not secured to under-counter and tips out when drawers are extended. Second floor bathroom sink drains poorly. Dusty/dirty baseboards, fixtures etc. All linens are coarse industrial grade. In short it is a hard-wearing rental property.

I picked this location for our 5th annual Family Vacation. We were a group of 15 with 7 kids and 8 adults. The house is spacious and no one ever felt like they were crowded. Kitchen is stocked to the tee with everything you need to cook. The pool table was a huge hit with the family. The hot tub 10/10 highly recommended. Beach was very close and an easy walk. Grocery store was less than 5 minutes away. Just be aware it’s a lot of stairs that’s the only thing. Oh the property manager are able to be contacted via sms. I let them know about an issue I had with the shower on the 3rd floor and they came the next day to fix it. Very helpful when you ask them for suggestions about golf cart issues. Highly recommend this location would be great for large family gatherings.

TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT
My family and I chose this property to stay at for a weekend due to a family death and we were going to a funeral nearby. We chose this property based off of it's location and my mom (who lost her sister) was hoping to relax in the hot tub because she loves them and not only is it advertised in the listing but it is also even in the title of the property. So, first impression was me sending a message to the owner or property manager double checking the hot tub would be available.. the response I received was "We will definitely let you know as soon as we here" -- unsure what that meant but we were hopeful anyway. When we arrived the hot tub was completely out of commission.. frustrating for sure but manageable.. however, the most disappointment came from our entrance to the house. It was filthy. There were leftover party decorations taped on the walls, random items under the couches, the sheets were folded neatly on each bed but the sheets were NASTY, the bath towels resembled cleaning rags... and the worst part of ALL was that the dishes in the cabinets were absolutely FILTHY.. clearly, the previous renters (hopefully not the cleaners) had just put all of the dishes back in the cabinet unclean.. I'm talking dried milk (we hope it was milk) dried to a glass.. food residue on the plates.. also when we opened the coffee maker to make coffee on our FIRST morning before the funeral, it was covered in mold.. Also, most TVs didn't work at all. DO NOT STAY HERE.

And now, we are reading this review and you are now mentioning these items? Sorry, that is very unfair. We would have been very happy to fix all of your concerns WHILE you were there, instead of just now reading about them in a review! The HOA controls use of the hot tub…and unfortunately, it was shut off due to low temperatures while you were there (in February). This review is in no way accurate or a good representation of our large 8 bedroom, 7 bath vacation home directly across the street from the ocean in beautiful Cherry Grove! Again, thank you for staying and we are very sorry for your loss.

-beds are not made upon arrival, that is not in the listing. I found the information after searching in a confirmation email despite being told I signed a contract that had that info. I asked repeatedly to be shown the contract again and it was never sent.
-dirty underwear was found in one of the beds
-there were multiple dirty dishes in cupboards
-inner liner of shower curtains were disgusting
-no dish soap or dish rags for kitchen, only one hand towel
-‘gourmet’ kitchen didn’t have spices or enough glasses for our large party, very disorganized
-no bath mats
-pillows were very old, not enough pillow cases were left
-stained sheets and towels were given to us
-not all burners on the stove worked properly
-zero extra trash bags
Communication was not great. I began to message shortly after we arrived about the dirty dishes/underwear etc. it took 24 hrs for them to respond and it was a blanket msg about how check in was and if we had concerns. I had already listed concerns! They did bring more glasses, a couple dish rags, a couple garbage bags and some soap. They also brought towels and sheets to replace stained ones but it was too late by then as it took them over 24 hrs to respond. Besides apologies for dirty underwear/dishes, there was nothing proactive done like offering to refund cleaning fee or some sort of nice gesture.
