What a great getaway! Location was outstanding, condo was perfect for two, beach was divine, everyone was very friendly. The home owner is top notch in communication. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
We rent several units at Bay Pointe for our annual family vacation. Location is great! Close to the Marina and Freshfields. The unit is very clean and the snacks were a pleasant surprise.
We enjoyed our visit to the area. The condo was as described and well appointed with amenities. Especially liked the snacks and coffee/tea options. Tim was responsive and informative. Would stay again.
We had a great time at Seabrook. Tim was a responsive, and accommodating host. The house was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. I highly recommend!
Really nice place. Excellent instructions and super responsive host. The bed was a dream with very noteworthy sheets. Large tv and a screened in porch to enjoy the day. Kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to prepare a couple of meals. Fridge acted up but repairman was on his way as we left. Good location and exceptionally quiet. Do yourself a favor and google Seanachai. It’s an authentic Irish pub and the best food we had all week within about 15 min.
Beautiful villa. Clean, well decorated and comfortable. Love the location. Will be staying here again! Owner was very helpful and communicated excellent.
Unit clean and well furnished and stocked. Very comfortable and neighborhood very quiet. Disappointed with photos of views of marsh as Wax Myrtles have grown up and basically obscure any views. Water in pictures on VRBO site must have been after an exceptionally high tide as we never saw the water at high tide. The dock that is shown was closed the morning after we arrived and was closed all week but no work was done. Planned on using the dock so was quite disappointed. Don’t know if the condo manager notified the owners of the closure before hand. Would recommend the unit with the understanding that it is not a unit that can see the marsh or water.

Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
January at Seabrook
refrigerator had food left in it, Fireplace inactive even though it was listed as a feature, owners didn’t even know how to access.
Constant Contact from owner until we were comfortably settled in.
Besides the accommodations, which I will expand on, I must say that I really appreciated the tremendous communication from the owner prior to our arrival. As far as the accommodations, this property has all the comforts of home. The Kitchen is fully stocked with all of the cookware and other dishes that one would need. The kitchen also had a Keurig coffee maker and plenty of complimentary pods of various blends, although we brought our own. Additionally, I love the fact that this property has a washer and dryer, which allowed us to pack lighter. Most importantly, the property was clean and well maintained. This property located in a peaceful gated community is a must for anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay.
The condo was very nice. Would definitely stay there again. The property owner was easy to work with and responded quickly when I reached out to him for anything.
Everything was top notch at this property -- from the comfy bed and linens, to the communication with the owner. We've visited this area many times, but this tops our list of favorite places to stay. LOVELY!
The property is very nice and quiet. We felt very safe. That was the most stocked condo i have ever stayed in. Owner responds quickly to messages. The bed was very comfortable. Have recommended the property and Island to our friends.
We stayed here on our honeymoon. It was far enough removed from the city but close enough to visit. We enjoyed the surrounding islands and the beaches. I’d recommend going to see the dolphins at low tide-very cool! We didn’t purchase an amenity pass since you don’t need one for the beach and that’s all we were interested in. There’s a cute little shopping/restaurant area called Freshfields and it has a grocery, gas station, shops and food. The condo was as pictured and had everything we needed. Our only suggestion would be a dehumidifier as it did feel very damp but it would not deter us from coming back. The hosts were helpful and responsive. It was the perfect place to honeymoon.
Enjoyed the time spent here. Villa was clean and had everything one would need for a short stay. The island was relaxing and beautiful. The only inconvenience was the check-in process. It could be improved upon. We were told we would receive key codes to enter the villa after going through the security gate. Apparently there was a delay in communication between the personnel at the security gate and the owner, and we did not receive key codes until an hour after we passed through security. Other than that, everything was great.
The villa was very clean and comfortable and in a nice location with easy access to walking, biking and waterfront dining. All of the amenities listed were available, but very limited so be prepared to go to the Freshfields market for groceries if you are staying longer than a day or two. Freshfields is a fun little shopping center so worth spending an hour or so, plus they have some great options for dining. Due to growth in the water behind the villa, there is no waterfront view at all as depicted in the pictures, which was pretty disappointing. You are technically located on John's Island and are not within the gates to Seabrook Island so you need to obtain an amenity card at a cost of $33/day per person (not made clear in the online ad) and it's somewhat confusing to know what you are 'allowed' to do and not allowed do within Seabrook. We got the card for just one day so that we could have lunch on the ocean and enjoy the beach. We ordered some drinks and lunch and when the waitress brought us our drinks, the bartender came over and asked if we were 'members', to which we replied no but we are guests of members and do have the amenity card. He took back our drinks and told us that we could not dine there because we were not members. This was not during the 'members only' time-slot so we were confused and very embarrassed by treatment we received. After talking to the hostess and showing here our amenity card, we were told that we could dine there, but after being treated that way, we decided to leave. We did find a fun waterside restaurant called The Salty Dog just up the road in Bohicket Marina & Market, which had live music and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend it. The Jasmine Porch restaurant at the Sanctuary Hotel on Kiawah Island was a pleasant find just 15 minutes away from the villa. It is also a private island, however the staff is very gracious and breakfast is fabulous. After breakfast you can walk down a walkway with access to the ocean for a nice beach walk. Be prepared to do your activities in the rain as it rains a lot, but overall it's a lovely, quiet area with plenty to do.
I spent the last two days of 2024 in this glorious spot, enjoying the beaches and the marsh area. The condo is one of the nicest rentals I've ever experienced - exceptionally well appointed...tons of natural light!I'll be back!
Villa was very clean in a quiet, beautiful area on a marsh. Convenient location was a 5 minute walk to an awesome French bakery and a 3 minute drive to the salty dog restaurant on a western facing marina that had live music. I came for a wedding but could see coming back for a longer visit...lots to do....biking, beach, boats. It had it all.
We had a wonderful time at Tim and Tricia’s condo. Great location and veryclean.

About the host
Hosted by Tim Alderman
My wife and I are the 3rd generation owners of a small family business. We fell in love with Charleston 20 years ago when we brought our kids down for Spring Break. We like that we can chose to drive or fly to Seabrook from our permanent home in Michigan. We use this property as our vacation home and rent it out when we are not using it. Renting is NOT our primary business.
Why they chose this property
We purchased this cozy space after visiting many properties from Myrtle Beach down the east coast clear to South Florida. It has mild temperatures year round, easy access from Charleston's international airport, and great local shopping and fine dining. Plus, Seabrook Island has charm without all the traffic and congestion of similar islands. Finally, this place gives us access to award winning golf, equestrian, & racket sports and a marina within walking distance.
What makes this property unique
Seabrook Island is private and purely cashless. Therefore, our rental guests are required to have an amenity card linked to a credit card to access club facilities. Requests for amenity cards should be made 48 hours in advance to ensure the cards are ready upon arrival. Request submitted with less than a 48 hour advance notice will be charged a $75 admin fee. Please message us using the AirBNB app if you'd like to order an amenity card. Amenity Fee: $40/day, $225/week. Reduced rate offered 11/1-2/28: $30/day, $150/week.
The Amenity Office is located in the Seabrook Island Real Estate building, just outside of the gate house.
Please remember that there is an $15 card deposit per card. This deposit is fully refunded when the card is returned in good condition and working order.
