The cottage is a former farmhouse in the heart of the hamlet of La Rive, in the Ségala Tarnais region. Perched on a hilltop at an elevation of 400 metres, it overlooks the Viaur Gorges amid lush greenery, on the edge of the forest. For those who love peace and quiet, nature, hiking, and swimming, the location is ideal. The cottage is right next to a hiking trail that leads to the river and its developed beach in a 10-minute walk. Canoe trips are available there (loops lasting one or more hours). This trail connects to many others in the region and to the botanical trail along the Viaur River. The Lac de la Roucarié recreation centre is 15 minutes away, offering supervised swimming, sailing, rowing, pedal boats, and water skiing. The Cap’Découverte multi-activity centre, 25 minutes away, offers numerous activities, including: supervised swimming in Lake Sainte Marie, water ski lift, mountain biking, skateboarding, mini-golf, paintball, tobogganing on a track, and more... The cottage features a terrace with patio furniture and a dining area in the garden just 10 metres away. Our mini-farm with goats and chickens is open for your enjoyment—a delight for children (and adults, too!). You can also take walks through our hectares of woods adjacent to the property, often accompanied by our goats, which are very sociable and curious animals. The village of Pampelonne is a 5-minute drive or a 40-minute walk along the trails. It offers all the necessary services for shopping and healthcare, and friendly social and culinary events take place there every week during the summer. And if you find yourself missing the city, you can quickly take a short trip to Albi.
