Had an amazing experience. Right by the Des Moines river. Owners are terrific. Nice quiet area to go and stay to get away from the busy and loud everyday life. Beds were very comfortable to sleep in. My kids loved every minute of our stay and want to go back. 10/10 for my family!
my husband and i took the dogs for a weekend getaway. this property was very peaceful and quiet. the cabin is very homey and makes one feel right at home. the river is right outside the patio and very relaxing to watch. i would highly recommend this lil hidden gem on the river.
The cabin was perfect for our weekend hiking trip. The cabin was just as advertised and the host was very responsive with any questions I had. We cooked three delicious meals on the blackstone while enjoying the beautiful view of the river. We would definitely book this place again.
The front window was shattered and not replaced. They didn't tell us that. They didn't contact me at all about my concerns. You can't fish onsite. You can't watch TV unless you bring your own devices. It doesn't sleep more than 4 people. The 1990 sofa will break your tailbone on the support structure. It was a great house with a great view in a great location with 6 cats.
This place was absolutely beautiful and the stay was so relaxing and amazing. The host (property owner) was very accommodating, easy to work with an so polite. This was such a beautiful property and we will be coming back. It was just what we needed. ❤️❤️
We will definitely be going back it is so beautiful plus I love how they had a sandbox and provided kids toys! The host were so nice as well :) the view was amazing and loved hearing all the birds in the morning
Three of us girls stayed at this cabin on the river. We enjoyed it immensely. Everything was provided but food. Very clean and comfortable and relaxing staying here. It was quiet and we sat on the deck most of the time. Would stay here again and recommend it to anyone that loves nature or just wants a quiet getaway.
This cabin was nice, the view and fishing were excellent, but the owner was around a lot. He needed to fix the wi-fi which was understandable, but we were surprised to see him working on it while we were there. I had told him the week of that there was no need to fix the wi-fi because we were not going to use the internet during our stay. The last night, the owner of this cabin was on his side-by-side in the backyard at 1030pm which my husband and I thought was disturbing.
This cabin is literally a hidden gem. Tucked away on the river, its got only a few neighbors with just enough distance between properties to make you feel like you arent passing sugar through the windows.
The wifi in the general area isnt great, but the cabin does provide that as well as a smart tv in case you need either.
This is right on the waterfront, with a beatlutiful unobstructed view from the bench on the river edge. The view from the deck is only framed by some trees and is just and great.
The deck itself is such a plus, enough space to spread out and enjoy the weather, even if its raining- the porch was perfect for sitting and watching a storm roll in and out.
The kitchen has probably every utensil you could think of needing, as well as cookware -and a full size fridge with freezer to keep your goods fresh. Microwave, and stove inside and a great blackstone outside available to use.
There is even a coffee machine and the hosts are gracious enough to pre stock some essentials for your first morning.
The bathroom has a walk in shower with great pressure and plenty of towels.
This was by far one of my favorite places to stay!
Such a beautiful property! We enjoyed having coffee on the porch overlooking the river each morning. The hosts were happy to answer any questions. Highly recommend!!
My husband and I needed a pet friendly cabin for an impromptu weekend get away and this place was perfect! We were looking to escape the city and enjoy nature and this place had it all. It overlooks the river but is close to a cute little town in case you need anything and a state park. The cabin was super clean and comfortable as well! We will definitely be back!
