Unique Little Island Cottage Getaway with Stunning Views.

Welcome to our stunning cottage on Kasshabog Lake in the heart of Kawarthas. The uniquely elevated cottage on high rocks provides a breathtaking views from this perfectly laid out property which is surrounded by water, weed free deep water swimming and gorgeous daily sunset views in the evenings out on the deck to enjoy with a glass of wine while barbecuing your favourite stakes.

The cottage has 2 bedrooms with queen and double beds and a pull out couch in living room for extra 2 guests for a fee if needed.
One full size bathroom with hot shower and running hot water also a toilet in place. Towels are included.

Our fully equipped kitchen is perfect for preparing meals for your group, with all the necessary amenities, including coffee maker, oven, stove, refrigerator and Webber bbq with propane provided by the host. Also basic spices for gourmet chefs are provided.
The kitchen leads to the open concept living area and dining area with beautiful view on the surrounding lake with daily sunsets to enjoy from inside the property, making it perfect for entertaining and relaxing with friends and family.

Cottage water is used from the lake which is filtered for drinking and cooking. No need to bring your water. A clean 15L jug of water will be provided for drinking and cooking.

Screened-in cozy room for beautiful natural surroundings and listening to loons at night is captivating.

Our cottage comes equipped with a TV and DVD player including movies for rainy days. There is no Wi-Fi as the place is the perfect place to escape the bustling business of the city however you will get a good connection on the dock and few spots in the cottage such as the deck, kitchen and screened porch to receive messages and make a phone call using your personal data.

Bring your own boat & launch at the Marina for a fee, 5 minutes away from the cottage island to explore the beautiful lake & all it has to offer.

Water sports are available, such as kayaking and canoeing to different islands and coves.

It takes 20 minutes via kayaks to get to Marina to enjoy a lovely walk in nature or sport lovers to enjoy running .

Who can not mention the famous jumping rock that attracts all cottagers FOR GENERATIONS, old and young to have a blast!


Guests are expected to bring their own toiletries & beach towels.

Whether you are looking for a fun family/friends vacation or a romantic getaway, our Unique Cottage on Kasshabog Lake is the perfect solitude escape from your busy lives and make wonderful memories. Come and enjoy!

Stoney Point Marina is where you park your car, and the island is a 5-minute ride to the destination. Parking spots will be paid by the guests to the host on arrival. As of this year new car parking is available for $20/night.

The cottage is pretty and comfortable. It is in a lovely lake with a great view of the sunset. Mariola was welcoming and a lovely host. We enjoyed our weekend.

Perfect weekend getaway!

What an amazing time during our stay . We have just wonderful words about our host, Mariola, who had prepared so prefect the cottage and we couldn’t ask for anything more . We did enjoy very much this place , and had a cozy relaxing weekend . The cottage was so clean and has a great location ,privacy and a gorgeous view , surrounded by the water , everything you will need to start the day from a beautiful deck for swimming and relaxing, canoeing during the day , fishing and ending the day near the fire pit prepared by the host on every night Definitely a great place to be . Highly recommend !

Peaceful island retreat

We had a very peaceful and restful time at Mariola's. Early morning swims in deep, clear water. Lovely views through the trees to nearby islands and pleasant sunsets. A large lake to explore in kayaks or a small aluminum canoe. Mariola was a friendly and very helpful host, quick to answer our questions about equipment and offering to bring us back extra provisions to the island during our weeklong stay.

When you arrive at the Cottage dock the water is deep and clear. A short walk up to the cottage, and you will see the beautiful view of the Kasshabog Lake. Cottage is elevated so there was always a breeze. Large windows allowed plenty of air movement. Very Private from the other cottages.

Solitude

We three adults enjoyed our much needed vacation thoroughly. The kayaks provided by our excellent host,Mariola ,were well used.Such a beautiful lake! .So many places to explore! The cottage was cozy and pristine and if we had any issues or questions Mariola was there to assist us pronto! Each of us could find our own special nook to kick back and relax and the sunsets were out of this world. Thankyou Mariola for making our getaway a very special experience . We all feel recharged and ready to face the world again though it was hard to leave.

Highly recomend

The place is astonishing, cozy, homey, and very charming. We found it pleasantly spacious for 4 people. The kitchen has all the supplies and basics you might need. The grounds around and the nature at the lake are just stellar. True beauty star of Kawartha region. Not many motorized vehicles on the water. Perfect for sweeming. Water was cristal clear and warm. The hosts are such lovely people, they went above and beyond to make sure our stay is enjoyable and were able to give us great tips on scenic kayaking routes and hiking nearby. Taking a boat to the island adds a sense of advantage. We grabbed some yummy ice cream at the Marina where we parked. Parking is paid now ($50 a weekend). Marina also has a diner and a short kayak trip away if you want to explore beyond the island. We enjoyed the sense of privacy that the island offers. Hosts were staying on the island as well. Big thank you to Mariola and her husband for sharing this place with us. We can only hope one day to return.

A Retreat On A Secluded Island

My wife and I had an absolutely unforgettable stay, surrounded by the serene beauty of nature. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the secluded atmosphere and the gentle sounds of passing boats (we saw maybe 3 all day). Waking up to the refreshing breeze and sharing a cup of morning coffee while gazing at the calm waters ahead created the perfect start to our day. The rental itself provided all the amenities we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. One of the highlights of our experience was the opportunity to go kayaking together, which allowed us to explore different islands and coves, creating cherished memories and bringing us closer as a couple. The nearby trails provided picturesque walks amidst stunning landscapes. Evenings were pure magic as we witnessed breathtaking sunsets while sipping wine and reveling in each other's company. The vibrant colors of the sky painted a romantic backdrop, allowing us to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the location. In summary, this rental provided us with a truly romantic retreat immersed in the beauty of nature. The serene surroundings, and thoughtful amenities made our stay truly unforgettable. We highly recommend this destination to couples seeking a peaceful and memorable getaway. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the hosts for creating such a remarkable experience
