Nestled in the heart of Crystal River, this charming 2-bedroom cottage offers a cozy and inviting retreat for your next vacation. As you step inside, you'll be greeted by a fully stocked kitchen, complete with a stove, microwave, refrigerator, grill, and all the necessary appliances and utensils to prepare delicious meals. Unwind in the comfortable living room, where you can enjoy the warmth of the fireplace and catch your favorite shows on the smart TV with satellite/cable channels.

Venture outside and soak in the stunning water views from the porch, or gather around the fire pit for a relaxing evening under the stars. This cottage includes a small boat launch, available are 2 kayaks ( a single and a double) 2 canoes, a fishing pole for your outdoor adventure. We have a fish cleaning station on property as well. The cottage also features a game room with a bumper pool table/poker table, as well as a selection of games, books, and toys for the little ones.

Just a short drive away, you'll find the breathtaking Three Sisters Springs, the Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge, and the Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park, offering endless opportunities for outdoor exploration and wildlife sightings. With the convenience of a washing machine and dryer, free WiFi, and all the essential amenities, this cottage is the perfect home base for your Crystal River getaway.

Really nice and secluded place. Everything was clean and finding the property was easy. Plenty of room for boat and trailer on the property. The “boat launch” is for smaller boats or canoes, not a big deal cause there are several boat ramps close by I had a 18 foot jon boat that navigated the canal fine you might have trouble with boats over 21 foot getting to the dock as the canal is very narrow. Over all very happy with our stay and definitely will be coming back.

Wonderful vacation

We totally enjoyed this property for 6 days and it was so fun and relaxing. We kayaked every day right from the boat ramp located on the property. Access to the water was extremely easy. We loved the wooden swing located onsite with a wonderful view of the waterways. The outdoor shower was a dream. The house was extremely clean and the televisions were huge. The Hosts provided so many helpful items to make our vacation enjoyable.

Beautiful property

We enjoyed our time at this beautiful property! It was very clean and stocked with all the necessities (and then some!) My son enjoyed fishing off the dock and my daughter and I enjoyed kayaking in the canal. The only reason I removed a star for the accuracy of listing was because it had a hot tub in the original listing however apparently this was a VBRO error and there in fact was not a hot tub on the property.

Well-appointed, comfy serenity amid palm trees, waterways, and coastal sunshine

Spacious, attractive, well-equipped home with screened porches, outdoor seating and kayaks and canoes to explore the many mangrove-lined waterways to the ocean. Beautifully decorated, user-friendly, and well-maintained. Great interaction with hosts. Enjoyed exploring this coastal area, the fresh seafood, the manatees wintering at the springs, the seabirds, and so on. A solid wifi connection, well-equipped home, and super comfy bed made it all very relaxing.

Great experience at Driftwood Cottage

The property was well kept and there were very nice amenities. The house was very clean. We enjoyed fishing from the point. Fish were biting on incoming tide and high tide, we caught many different species. The enclosed game room was a lot of fun, we enjoyed the bumper pool and checkers. Property was private and quiet. We really enjoyed using the kayaks as well. Tons of birds to watch and listen to.

Tranquility

The property is wonderful it had lots of land with two fire pits and a picnic area, two canoes, two kayaks, fishing poles and cleaning station, a walking trail that leads to a wooden swing. The stars were amazing and it was quiet except for the jumping fish just off the dock at the edge of the property, lots to do around the island. Recommend taking the local airboats tour and we saw animals both on land as well as in the water….like a wild baby pig eating grass on the side of the road!

Peaceful Oasis on Nature Coast

This is the real Florida: mature trees, mangroves, abundant wildlife. We loved the ability to access to launch one of the well maintained canoes or kayaks. Clara has created several outdoor sitting areas on her 1.5 acre property to relax and observe. The house is sparkling clean, cleanest rental we have ever stayed in and well stocked. Every room is very cozy, including the bed. Clara really paid attention to every detail making our stay both easy and comfortable. Clara is a wonderful host and most responsive. Would love to stay again but longer next time!

Rural fishing get away

This place was perfect for us as we are not theme park people. We wanted to take our 7 yr old Grandson on a fishing trip and this was perfect as boats and paddles were provided. The property extends to a point at an inlet where fish seem to congregate. We caught red drum, mangrove snapper, catfish, and a flounder without trying very hard. The house was very cozy and accommodating with a television in each room. I was happy to see a full size coffee maker as well as a one cup. Plenty of dishes etc. We basically had everything we needed for a wonderful vacation. Homasassa Wildlife refuge was a nice day trip also, and we enjoyed the beach at Fort Island on another day. Wonderful area off the beaten path.

We really enjoyed this quaint nature filled relaxation spot. It is a good place to relax after spending the day on the water. My family likes to explore so I think next time we will choose a cooler month. Also, for people that would like to book bug spray is a necessity. We kayaked and canoed the canal which was interesting. There were mullet and crabs. All in all , we enjoyed our short stay.Thank you to the hosts that were readily available to solve any problems that arose. Thank you for sharing your space!

Beautiful old Florida experience

Beautiful property surrounded by water with lots of trees. Fully appointed outdoor kitchen and 2 fire pits. Home has everything you need and beds were very comfortable. Bathroom had a nice shower. AC units in each room keep it cool. Loved the outdoor shower, games in the game room and all the outdoor porches to sit and enjoy the beautiful mornings. Enjoyed the out doors dining room. Kitchen was spacious and fully functional. Our only suggestion is that the gate lock should be a little more user friendly because upon arrival in the evening with the mosquitoes it was a little stressful, however, Clara answered our call and helped us right away.

Top Notch Ammenities!

This property comes with everything you could want in a secluded, quiet vacation property with room to breathe. The owners have thought of, and provided, just about anything you could want. The kayaks/canoes are top quality. Fishing rod and all equipment provided, including an anchor. Great air conditioning. The private dock on the canal is a lovely spot to birdwatch or just watch nature pass by and fish. Kitchen is stocked with TONS of equipment/extras. The complimentary sunscreen/bug spray was HUGE to get us by before we were able to buy some of our own, since we couldn't bring our own on the flight. Very prompt response from the owner when I had a very small issue that was no fault of theirs or the property, which occurred late in the evening. Kindly helped us resolve it in less than a minute. We enjoyed the space for a couple's get away and it was wonderful, but there was plenty more room. I could imagine this to be a wonderful place for a friends getaway or double couples retreat! The game room and its MANY games leaves *so much room for activities!* TDLR: Nature, kayaking, birding, and fishing enthusiasts: If you want a beautiful, quiet, secluded, and comfortable property that is thoughtfully and totally stocked with amenities, this clean spot is the one for you.

Dream vacation

Wow where to begin. This place is very private. Exceptionally clean. Has all the supplies you need and ones you didn’t know you needed. The place is just beautiful. Everything is high quality from the kitchen appliances to the kayaks. The birds sang a symphony every morning for me. There is a nice place to sit and have a fire in the fire pit. At the point there is excellent fishing a hungry spot for catching fish. We caught red fish and catfish and they were all keepers. We cooked up the 2 redfish and they are really good eating. She even has crab traps to try. You can kayak to your heart’s content. There is so many places to explore right there at the place. She has great cellphones reception and big tv’s to watch with free Netflix and lots more. The airconditioner worked great. This place is the best place we have stayed in a verbo also the best area as well. She has 2 beds one is softer than the other so which ever you like she has it. Great communication and keeping us informed. Really easy to find the place. My only suggestion is you must try to go to silver springs through discovery kayak. We saw monkeys manatees alligators and lots of birds. That was awesome. Wouldn’t recommend the airport trip we took definitely not worth the money at all. We will be back next year and hopefully every year back to this place and stay here. We just loved it here so much. It was very hard for us to leave to do an excursion because there was so much to do here with the fishing and lots.

Labor Day Getaway

Awesome long weekend getaway. No issues whatsoever with any part of our trip, from communication to the property itself. Even better in person than in pictures. Very clean, great amenities and plenty of things to do in the area. Looking forward to visiting again. Thank you guys for having us. Hands down 10 out of 10.

Why they chose this property

The Ozello Keys are a string of Islands on Florida's nature coast that are fully accessible by car. Nestled between Homosassa Springs and Crystal River. I chose this place as a spot for my family and I to enjoy the great outdoors and truly learn what the Good Old Florida is like. I love this place because it is quiet and peaceful and there is a new adventure every way you look.

What makes this property unique

I can catch redfish, snook, snapper, mullet, and more off a kayak or canoe in the surrounding canals. These canals surround 3 quarters of the property and leads right out to the Gulf of Mexico. There is a quick and easy small John boat launch right on the property. You are close to the Homosassa Wildlife Park, cute Eateries, Scalloping, Boating, Fishing, and more!!!
