Forest Beach Townhome - 2BR/1.5 Bath - Pet Friendly - Short Walk to Beach

Hilton Head Cabana 21 is a charming townhouse located in South Forest Beach one block from the ocean. This property is wonderfully furnished and offers an open floor plan with a well equipped kitchen. The first floor consists of the kitchen (with laundry facilities), living room, dining room, a powder room along with an outside patio complete with a gas grill. The second floor contains both the master bedroom (king bed) plus the guest bedroom (two double beds) as well as a full bathroom just off the hallway in between the two bedrooms. The swimming pool and kiddie pool are located just steps from the patio in the extremely spacious courtyard. Pool is open March - October. This unit is conveniently located within a 5 minute walk to the beach, a 10 minute walk to Coligny Plaza and also 10 minutes from the new Low Country Celebration Park. Please be aware that No Pets are permitted on the back patio or in the Courtyard at Hilton Head Cabanas. Also, the rental is limited to 1 pet (35 pounds or less) per occupancy.

The location was spectacular! Walk across the street to the beach. Cabana was clean, when you stay at a beach location you should expect a little sand despite how much cleaning has been done! I am already planning my next stay. I have been to HHI numerous times and this was the best yet. I really don't want everyone else to know about it

The Cabana was awesome and the location was great. There was an easy access, directly across the street and a short walk to the beach. The pool was center location to all of the Cabana's. The air unit worked great and had all the amenities of home.

Condo in Hilton Head

The condo itself needs a deep clean. Bathrooms especially main, tub needs cleaning and new shower liner. Sheets on the bed are just old, no elasticity at all, wake up with the sheets pulled away from the mattress itself! Bedroom furniture in both rooms old and dirty. I was looking fir an outlet in the main, pulled the bedside table back and there was dirt and dust drom years if not cleaning. Blinds in both bedrooms weren’t working, my husband had to take both down and repair them. Ceiling fans had so much dirt on them, he had to clean them before turning them on. Refrigerator shelf fell off, someone had placed Velcro on to make it stick, it didn’t hold, our bottles feel off shortly after putting them in. It would be a nice place if it was cleaned and given an update…

Had roaches

The floor was so disgusting, you can tell it wasn’t mopped. My families feet were black at the end of day 1 from the floor. On day 2, I saw 2 German cockroaches. I called the management company and said an exterminator would be out next day and never came. I also messaged the management company about it and no one responded. I ended up having to go buy raid. There was also a dead mouse in front of the garbage which is right outside the door.

We were so glad that Cabana 21 allowed us to bring our pet. It was completely homey and comfortable and well situated in easy walking distance to the beautiful beach. We will definitely be back and will request the same unit.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had to take our 4 month old puppy with us. This location was perfect for beach access. The Cabana Condo was decorated cute. Bed was comfortable. Dryer lint vent was broken and ruined a couple pieces of our clothing. My biggest complaint is I didn’t in advance see that the puppy was not aloud on the patio until we got there and my husband and I could never sit out there together with our pup. Totally my fault BUT that being said, Where you could actually take your dog to go potty was VERY limited. The places you could let your dog go seemed to be saturated with other dog spots and our little girl had a very hard time trying to find a clean spot to go. This was totally not dog friendly and we ended up having to take her too far away to go to the bathroom. Second complaint, the cleaning company they use is not good at all. I rolled up the rug in the living area so our puppy wouldn’t have an accident on it and underneath the rug was a sandbox. Totally hadn’t been cleaned in forever. The dog toys ended up under the bed and to retrieve them showed 3 inches of dirt and dust. It was so gross. I don’t blame the owners. They are trusting the company is doing a good job and that the leasing company is holding the cleaning crew accountable.

Although you do have to cross a four lane road and a bike path to get to the beach, I found crossing the road easier than crossing the bike path.
