About this property

Welcome to your home away from home - a custom-designed, mid-century house on a peaceful, centrally located street, within walking distance of the College of Wooster. The entire home is available to renters, and is complete one-story living, with a large fully equipped, eat-in kitchen, combined living/dining area with a dining table, smart tv with Roku, as well as board games and books. Down the hall are three spacious bedrooms and more storage. There are a total of three full baths, a laundry room available for guest use, and plenty of closet space and built-ins for your stay.

The first bedroom has a king sized bed, three closets and a private bath with a tub/shower as well as a separate vanity area.

All mattresses and box-springs are locally Amish-made, the same grade used in hotels.

In warm months enjoy the three seasons room that leads to the pergola in the backyard and in-ground pool! The pool is open Memorial Day through Labor Day. Pool is available to renters staying in the house only.

There is ample off-street parking and a large yard to enjoy. The family friendly neighborhood is quiet with mature trees, perfect for walking, with a park in walking distance.

The house is equi-distance from the north end shopping/movie theater, and the downtown dining, shops and events.

Owners live next door.

Rate is for 4 renters/night; additional renters will add a fee/night.

Fantastic!

Unique, extremely well-kept, spacious and quiet home just a couple minutes drive from the College of Wooster campus. We have stayed at several spots in town over the past couple years, and this property is by far our favorite.

Marvelous Mid-Century house!

A great find.

The house was quiet, comfortable, warm and welcoming. We were visiting my daughter for Thanksgiving and the location was great. Just a few blocks from the college. Check in and out was simple and quick with clear instructions. We were able to move right in. The owners made it clear they would be available if any issues arose, but we didn’t have any. If you’re visiting kids attending the college this is a great place to stay with plenty of room to relax, play cards, and enjoy the time together.

Petr is from a picturesque village outside of Prague, Czech Republic originally, and Kelli grew up on a dairy farm just north of Wooster. We moved back to the area, out of the city, a few years ago and are loving smaller-town life. Being able to host others who come to beautiful Wooster, Ohio has been a pleasure.

Why they chose this property

Wooster has all of our shopping, church, and restaurants within a 2 mile radius! We love being able walk to downtown (around 2 miles) when time permits to have date night at one of the restaurants or events on the square. The Wayne County Fair is an event we always look forward to in September. And we love being able to drive out of town into beautiful country and farmland. Amish country, Cedar Point, Mansfield Reformatory (where Shawshank Redemption was filmed), Put-in-Bay, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and NFL Hall of Fame are all day-trips from Wooster.

What makes this property unique

We love the retro, mid-century era of the home, with its one-story floor plan that was custom designed, as well as the outdoor living space under the pergola, and the in-ground pool. We also love the neighborhood, but we may be biased since we live next door!
