Renee, it was an absolute pleasure hosting you at our home in Downtown Gilbert. We are so thrilled you enjoyed your stay. We work hard to ensure guests have a safe, clean, comfortable home to make lifelong memories in, and thankful you were able to do that. We are sorry you may not have experienced the cowboy trough pool as intended. Judging by your review, and without prior communication with us about your concerns, we regret we weren’t able to inform you that if you had looked closer, the pool is indeed a 10’ metal cow trough designed for cattle to drink from. We simply lined the metal pool with a blue liner to protect it from the chlorine. We discovered bare metal + chlorine = rust, and didn’t want our guests to experience rusty water, naturally. We can’t wait for you to come back and visit and next time, look closer and perhaps grab a brew & sit in the lined, metal pool we have for guests to enjoy. We promise, you’ll dig it!

Karli, we are sorry to learn that you had not had an opportunity to read through our listing before or after booking, in which we made a note: “While we would LOVE to host your family and friends, you should know that there is a railroad directly behind the Prickly Pear House with a live train. We believe it adds charm as it's part of our local heritage. However, if an occasional train is an inconvenience to you, PLEASE do not book this property.” Our pool is not listed as heated, but we know there are a lot of amenities on the amenity list, so it is hard to read through them all. We completely understand, and we'll try to communicate that redundantly in our messaging to ensure no one misses that as well going forward. To future guests, Great news! Our toilets were inspected by a professional plumber today, and all bathrooms were working perfectly. You have complete control over the thermostat; there are no locks on the Nest thermostat, and you're welcome to adjust to any temperature you desire. Regarding the couch stain, the guest spilled something all over the couch & our cleaners could not remove the unknown stain and unfortunately misunderstood the situation. Rest assured, they, as well as you, have damage protection insurance that we pay for, so you’d never be contacted about accidental damages. We handle and never involve our cherished guests, and of course, we do not charge our guests either. We understand accidents happen. We have always been so grateful for all of the kind travelers that have stayed with us & will continue to offer a clean, safe, beautiful home for you to enjoy while visiting gorgeous Gilbert, Arizona.
