Great, clean place in an awesome location (quiet, but close to town). Would have liked a slightly bigger kitchen, but it had everything we needed.

Wonderful relaxing location and so close to the arroyo to walk each morning! Being in nature is important but not too remote! It’s only a few minutes drive to the Plaza and places you want to go. Beautiful location and house! It is perfect for one or two people. Great bed…I slept like a baby. I will return again I hope!

This property sits in a wonderful neighborhood--quiet, serene and peaceful. Views of Sun and Moon Mountains and night sky gazing are superb from the driveway. Loved the location! As described, getting to the Plaza and Canyon Road are both short drives, however the access road is very washed out and it is tricky to navigate the drainage (to be fair, there was a deluge rainstorm the day we arrived). The interior of the casita, while both structurally and architecturally beautiful, was less than desirable, especially for the price point. The musty smell upon entering was off-putting (rugs and decorative pillows need to be cleaned or updated), every piece of upholstery is broken down and I had to sit on the floor for our entire stay. (The bed was comfortable for my husband.)There were not enough hand towels or washcloths for two people staying 5 days (exactly ONE of each size) and the sponge in the kitchen had been used previously. Soaps and shampoos had not been refilled or replaced for some time. The property owner is very responsive and while we would love to be able to come back to this location, we sadly won't consider it unless some interior improvements take place.

Cozy casita

I love the koi pond, the entry was leveled a bit higher but we rented a small suv that was perfect, the bed was amazingly comfortable to sleep on. Everything was clean, close to everything. I would recommend this casita.

Peaceful get away

I enjoyed a great week surrounded by quiet, peaceful nature but within a 5 min drive of town. Walks for the dog were a block over in a local part, in town along the river and up the street in local hiking trails. Bedroom was quiet, shower was roomy. Views of the blue western sky outside near a water feature. Enclosed outside dining area was great for some sun as well.

Lovely place and location!

We absolutely loved the location of this VRBO. Close to lots of trailheads with terrific hiking and close to Canyon Road and historic Santa Fe. Patricia was a very responsive host, quick to show us how to use the grill and encouraging of our use of the front patio and back yard. What we didn't know from the listing was that her house was connected to the rental, that it shared a wall. So the owner, while never intrusive or overbearing, was nevertheless right there. It proved unfortunate our first night when we went to a friend's house and our dog decided to bark (first time, strange place) and bother the owner. There were also workers there nearly every day. And although they were lovely people, we felt a little cramped by the constant presence of noise and people. That said, it's a great place, extraordinarily well located and well appointed. And it has air conditioning! A great thing in this time of climate change. We would highly recommend this casita, keeping in mind that the kitchenette is literally that (fine with us!) and the owner lives next door.

Meh……a few problems but stay was acceptable.

We enjoyed our stay but there were a few things all three of us found off putting. The backyard space is shared (with property manager/owner). The backyard space and bbq needed cleaning when we arrived and the space was never cleaned (unless we cleaned it ourselves). The TV and cable in common area inside was complicated and there were no instructions (even tho all 3 of us are tech savvy) so we ended up streaming on one of our small computer screens in the evening. Finally, the kitchen is very small which still worked for us but we really limited our use bc it felt more comfortable and easier to go out. There was no dish rack to use when we washed dishes and there was a big leak under the kitchen sink that needed attention. All of these things made cooking meals even less appealing. The last negative thing i’ll say is the space out front near the pond is NOT shared space and leads directly to the property manager’s residence so we never felt comfortable using it. The pond and space outside were the main reasons we chose this property and frankly, we felt mislead because it was not what we had hoped. The best parts of the rental was there was ample parking, AC worked, it was cozy enough and we felt safe because the neighborhood was quiet and fairly proximal to everything we wanted.

My husband and I enjoyed our week-long stay at this peaceful, cozy casita while attending a Summer Classics Seminar at St. John's College (a program we highly recommend!). The location was ideal - a few minutes' drive to both Santa Fe Plaza and St. John's, and with fantastic hiking right from the door. The kitchen was small, but perfectly functional for cooking breakfast (the only meal we prepared), and there is a full grill and an outdoor dining table accessible to guests on the patio. We did not find the portable air conditioning units to be very effective (the heat from the exhaust hose seemed to counteract any cooling). However, given the quiet setting, we were able to stay comfortable by opening the windows, drifting to sleep with the soothing sound of the water feature located just outside the master bedroom. The host, Patricia, is kind and helpful. We appreciated her many excellent restaurant recommendations. Thank you for the lovely stay, Patricia. We would be delighted to return to this charming property in the future.

Great For A Girl's Trip!

My friend and I stayed here during our first trip to Santa Fe! The property is lovely and the space was perfect for the two of us. There aren't sidewalks all the way to the river walk / streets that lead to dowtown so plan to drive into town, which isn't far! Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful place to stay

I stayed here for almost 2 weeks with my dog. The owner was wonderful and a great comfort to me when I unexpectedly experienced a heart attack. I found a park just a short walk down the road from the casita where I could walk my dog every evening, and there is also Monsignor Patrick Smith Park just a short drive away. Very close to Canyon Road and excellent restaurants. The casita itself was comfortable, especially the bed in the master bedroom!

Not exactly matches the online listing

My husband, our dog, and I stayed at Patricia's place for three nights. The house was very clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed the experience of staying in an adobe home. The location was perfect for us, as it was close to hiking spots like the beautiful Santa Fe National Forest and the scenic Dale Ball Trails. We also loved the proximity to the amazing Canyon Road art walks and the Santa Fe Downtown Plaza, all just a 10-minute drive away. However, the listing differed a bit from our expectations. For example, the drive to the Plaza wasn't 5 minutes as stated—it was actually around 10 minutes. The picture of the pond shown in the listing is located right in front of the property owner's walkway, and we didn't feel comfortable sitting there to enjoy the pond. The fenced area for the dog was in the back of the house, but there was no direct access from the house. We had to exit the house and open the gate to let our dog enjoy the space. Additionally, the backyard wasn't very private since there are many windows facing it from the owner's home. The kitchen was quite small, making it difficult to cook a full meal. Also, there was no electric kettle, even though it was listed in the amenities. The house didn't feel very private, as the kitchen had a glass door covered by a curtain, and we could hear the property owners clearly from the other side.Overall, while we had a pleasant stay, there were a few aspects of the property that didn't quite match our expectations.

Great hike to Canyon Road

Clean, neat with laundry and a quiet location, but I recommend the owner have a welcome book to explain how things work in the unit. There was only directions to restaurants and shops. Also we hiked to Canyon road along the river path and the Plaza (2 miles one way) but had to figure out the directions ourselves.

Santa Fe stay

This is a comfortable property for two people. The location is secluded up in the canyon and easily accessible to canyon and river trails. It is only a mile walk to the Tea House and the art work on Canyon Road. The kitchen is tiny but that is a good excuse to sample the many fine dining experiences in town. Patricia is a welcoming and responsive hostess.
