Wonderful!
The cabin was just as advertised except better! There is plenty of room and plenty of comfortable beds, a full kitchen and a modern bathroom. Even better, outside there are a screened-in porch, gas grill, picnic table, fire pit, free dry firewood, canoe, kayaks, paddleboats, row boat, dock, and even a small pontoon boot ($50/d). The cabin is right on the lake and there are great views from up at the cabin and down on the dock. The lake is gorgeous with not too many other cabins, an island with a rope swing, lillipads all around, warm clear water, and lots of fish to catch. The owner was very helpful and accommodating. We'll be back for another few days of relaxing and fishing!

Cozy, quiet retreat
We have been here several times and love the place! It’s cozy and rustic but has all you need! We took the pontoon boat out every day and watched the loons and the loon baby and the eagle. Great choice of retro movies, and all the towels and kitchen things you need! Ginger was very responsive to our few questions! We will be back again!

We vacationed in these cabins four summers in a row and fell in love with them and the area! We love the quietness of the cabins and the serene beauty surrounding the cabins.

What makes this property unique

The cabins sit about 50 feet from the water on top of a small ridge which overlooks the entire lake. There is an island in the middle which is the adopted home of two bald eagles which build a large nest every year. The lake is spring fed from a slew on the east side of the lake, which makes it very clear and refreshing to swim in. The deepest part of the lake is about 50' deep with most of it around 5-15' deep. We enjoy fishing, biking, riding the ATV trails, going to Hayward for golf/shopping, kayaking or tubing down the Chippewa River, hunting in the Fall, and exploring the thousands of acres of Chequamegon National Forest. It is truly a wonderful place to visit.
