About this property
Perfect Sand Beach frontage on the famous Chippewa Flowage!
*2024 COMPLETELY REMODELED* Charming log cabin located on the East Side of the Famous Chippewa Flowage, on Moore's Bay, with a commanding view across the bay to the Chequamegon National Forest. This Four-Season Cabin sleeps 8, with 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. Dining area, plus a dining area for 6-8 in the screen porch overlooking the lake. There's also large lakeside deck, a walkout level patio with more seating areas, a table for dining, and a firepit area.
But nothing beats the low elevation sand beach frontage, perfect for swimming! This is the ultimate summer get away. There is a pontoon available to rent along with the cabin, daily and weekly rates. Additionally, at no charge are 2 single person kayaks, 2 paddle boards and a 3 person canoe available for your use with the cabin. Excellent fishing right from the dock, or explore more than 15,000 acres of water, 233 miles of shoreline and over 200 undeveloped islands. The Chippewa Flowage is a world-class fishery in a wilderness-like setting. Fish include Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Walleye, Sturgeon and Catfish. The next world record Musky (Hayward's claim to fame) is just waiting to be caught! If you're a little unsure of where to start your Musky Hunt, we can recommend fishing spots or the right guide to hire for the full or half day.
Starting Summer 2025 - Rent a pontoon during your stay. Contact us for more details!
Looking for a cozy base camp for fall musky fishing, bird hunting, mountain biking, hiking or ATV'ing? This is your place! This cabin is within minutes of mountain bike and hiking trails, hunter's walking trails within the Chequamegon National Forest, and connected to the extensive Sawyer County ATV trail system.
Winter sports more your thing? The cabin is located directly on Snowmobile Trail 6 in between Johnson's and Deerfoot Resorts. The Chippewa Flowage is one of the premier snowmobile destinations in the Midwest. Not only does Sawyer County have over 600 miles of trail, but if the trails aren't in the best condition, ride the 100 miles of marked trails on the lake. There are several bars and restaurants open all winter for the snowmobile season located on the Chippewa Flowage.
Rainy day? the cabin is stocked with all kinds of activities... Wi-Fi, Smart TV, board games, puzzles, and cribbage board/cards. Or take a trip to town, there's never a shortage of things to do in Hayward! There's a flea market and farmer's market every Monday, tons of neat shops downtown, mini golf, go-cart racing, The Fishing Hall of Fame and Museum, a driving range, bike rentals, Wilderness Walk Zoo and a 4-screen movie theater.
If you're looking to get back to the way cabins used to be, bond with your family, get back to nature, or just relax with buddies, this is your spot. They just don't make places like this anymore; memories will be made here!
***PLEASE NOTE*** From May 30th through August 29th, this cabin rents from Friday to Friday, 7 day minimum.

About the host
Hosted by Kelley Butterfield
Travis and I reside in Hayward, therein lies the blessing and the curse! We get to live here and enjoy all the amenities that Hayward has to offer, but because of our work schedule, we don't get to use our cabin nearly as much as we'd like. That's why we'd love to share it with you! Another plus is that we're locals, we're here if you need anything should an issue arise during your stay.
