Unfortunately, our owner had to cancel at the last minute because she said her previous renters caused damage to her property. She messaged us several hours before check in, when we’d already arrived in the city. Luckily we stopped off and I checked my messages or else I wouldn’t have even known… and I never heard from her again… nor from any representative from VRBO to help us make alternate arrangements or compensate us for our pretty awful circumstance. While I understand the situation was out of her hands, the entire first night of our trip was ruined as we scrambled for expensive last minute lodging, and we had a ton of food go to waste that we couldn’t prepare in the hotel room that we ended up in. I expected that booking through your organization, that I would have had direct contact with a representative regarding this situation… especially hours before our scheduled arrival
