That chalet is a dream. We've enjoyed every minute we've stayed in and looking forward to come back soon. Very private and quiet. Stunning sunsets. Very clean inside. 5 Stars for sure
Although somewhat off of the beaten path, the Chalet was definitely worth the effort. Clean, comfortable, excellent view and amenities. I highly recommend Deans Lake Chalet.
We loved our stay at this house. It is clean and had everything you need for the stay. The location right next to a lake is awesome. We took plenty kajak and kanu tours on the lake with and enjoyed every meal on the nice patio.
I look forward to returning many times and in a various seasons. What a beautiful and welcoming place to spend our holidays. It was so peaceful and management went above and beyond to make it so for us. Thank you for a memorable stay!
We loved this house. It is so beautifully built and taken care of. We loved the isolation, being able to hear the frogs at night and see other wildlife during the day. The central location is great for exploring different parts of Nova Scotia. We will definitely stay here again for future visits.
This was the most beautiful place we had the privilege of staying at. The cottage did not disappoint. It had all the amenities needed, all you had to do is bring food. Aside from this, the views were spectacular and I recommend anyone who is looking for a quiet getaway this is the place for you, we are definitely coming back again.
As well as being very conveniently located near the national park, this chalet is wonderfully positioned by a secluded lake for canoeing, sunset or shooting star watching. The house is spotless and includes all modern equipment and facilities. Stefan is a fantastic host, who takes great care of his house as well as of his guests! Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer, but now we have a great place to come back to!
Words can't convey how incredible our visit to the Chalet was. The property is located on a quiet lake with beautiful natural surroundings. The kitchen was well equipped for most any chef's creations, the beds were very comfortable, and the recreational gear was greatly appreciated. Communication with the host was quick and easy, and he was very gracious in discussing options for outings and restaurants. It's quite clear that the host invests a lot of time and pride in this property.
We had a wonderful stay at the Dean Lake Chalet. It's a beautiful, well-appointed, and very comfortable home away from home, set in the midst of lovely, serene nature. We spent a lot of time canoeing and kayaking and were so glad those options were available to us - we saw so much wildlife this way. We also loved the centrality of the location - it was easy to take day trips to places like Digby and Lunenberg. The beds were really comfortable, the kitchen was beautiful and every detail was thought of, and the large deck was a great place to eat breakfast and watch sunsets over the lake. Loved hearing loons on quiet evenings. Stefan (the owner) and Rick (the property caretaker) were extremely helpful and provided lots of great information about the area - we had more ideas about things to do than time to accomplish them, so we'll just have to come back some day!
Beautiful chalet, very clean and new, well equipped with all necessities and a few nice extra touches like a beautiful wood stove, convection oven, stand mixer, canoe/kayaks, outdoor shower (though it was way too cold at this time of year for us to try it!)
The location is amazing: beautiful, remote, quiet, peaceful, yet only a short drive from Kejimkujik Nayional Park. Also a nice network of trails on the huge property makes it easy to submerge yourself in nature’s beauty while staying within walking distance from the chalet. The sunsets on the lake were breathtakingly beautiful!
Our host Stefan was very friendly and went out of his way to connect with us to ensure we had the best time possible, providing suggestions and tips.
Five well-earned stars!! We would love to come back one day for another stay, perhaps with warmer weather to enjoy the lake even more!
Es war noch besser als wir es uns vorgestellt haben. Tolles Haus am See. Absolute Ruhe.
Dean Lake Chalet is a peaceful, quiet, and relaxing vacation place. It is the perfect place to be away from the everyday noise and stress of everyday life. Perfectly quiet from road noise, construction work, and all that everyday noise you have to deal with in life. This is the place to be if you want to sit on the deck and look at the beauty God gave us and listen to the simple noises in life like birds, frogs, fish jumping up to grab a bite to eat, all that good stuff that we forget to enjoy in life and have pushed aside. It will make you wonder how we let this all get away from us. Enjoy!
A beautiful cottage with all the amenities of home. Gorgeous sunsets. We enjoyed going out on the lake with the kayaks and seeing all the flowers on the lillypads.
Swimming is best at the rocky beach, which is a 2 min walk down the private trail on the property.
Rick the property manager was very friendly and helpful. Stefan is very responsive and provided good insights about the nearby islands that can be explored within a few minutes of the property.
Cheers,
Emily
We had a wonderful stay at the Dean Lake chalet with our 4 kids. Very nice place, waterfront, in the forest with a lot of walking trails, wildlife... Highly recommend if you like just being out there and enjoy the outdoor.
Beautiful nature walks, canoe ride/kayaking during stunning sunsets, star gazing.
Perfectly calm and serene place for us to unplug and rejuvenate. Will definitely return to enjoy this place. They have thought of everything you will need to have the comforts of home, and enjoy the outdoors too.
Thank you to to Stefan for stopping by to explain all the fun options around the property for us to enjoy.
We would highly recommend a stay at this cabin.
