The Hatchery at Heather Hill

The "Hatchery" is a bright and cheery cottage nestled in the Sierra foothills.
Our guest house is attached to our main residence, on a 10.9 acre parcel, down a private road. We are here if you need us, but respect your privacy if not!
We are 12 miles from Placerville, 7 miles from Apple Hill and close to local wineries. For winter fun, we are 43 miles (drive time 1 hour) from Sierra at Tahoe.
Please note: We are NOT close to the freeway, and there are several windy roads in and out of our area.
The space
The cottage is a fully contained unit, with one bedroom and one bathroom, a full kitchen, and a laundry room with washer and dryer.
There is a sofa bed in the living room which sleeps two, in addition to the queen bed in the bedroom.
The Hatchery has the ability to sleep four, however it is best suited for two adult and two children, or three adults if one does not mind a sofa bed. We use a foam padding, but sofa beds are not always as comfy as a real bed!
Also, one must access the bedroom to reach the bathroom.
Breakfast foods will be provided and you will always find farm fresh eggs laid you for by our own 'girls'.
Feel free to stroll the grounds to say hello to the chickens and goats.
We have central heat and A/C, a microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, Keurig unit, and gas stove, in addition to the the laundry facilities.
We clean the space thoroughly between guest, but please note that we live in the country and dust is always trying to come in the door! Should you arrive and the space is not 100% up to your expectations, please message us right away so we can correct any issues. Our goal is to provide the best experience possible for you!
