About this property
Morrill Mansion Inn | 4 | Self Check In | Parking
Welcome to The Morrill Mansion Inn! This 1800's era townhouse has been meticulously restored to its original Italianate elegance. Formerly the Morrill Mansion Bed & Breakfast, we recently dropped the breakfast to serve Airbnb & VRBO guests near and far as a boutique hotel.
Each room has a private ensuite bath, queen sized bed, smart TV (no cable but YouTube TV account), white noise machine, a reading chair (or couch depending on the room), mini fridge, & one parking spot for *compact cars* only.
The space: This historic home was built in the early 1800s for one of the founders of the B&M Factory (the M stands for Morrill). Up until 2021, the B&M factory had been exclusively making B&M beans and their infamous smoke stack was a staple in the Portland Skyline. What started as a single family home, the Morrill Mansion saw many other uses before morphing into a bed and breakfast in the 1990s, and recently dropped the breakfast to serve Airbnb guests near and far. Architectural details that make the home unique have been restored and modern amenities have been added to make your stay in Portland comfortable.
With just eight guest rooms, our inn offers a peaceful stay satisfying social guests or those seeking solace. Each private room, with private ensuite bath, is furnished with a queen sized bed, television (not your traditional cable, we have a smart TV with a YouTube TV account which offers live channels), white noise machine, a reading chair (or couch depending on the room), and a mini fridge. During the summer months (May through October) each room has a window AC unit and during heating season each room has their own Rinnai heater which allows you to control your own heat.
The guest rooms share the sitting room located on the first floor which has a coffee station and luggage nook for guests who need storage before and/or after check out.
***WINTER PARKING: If we should have a snow storm, the day after the storm, we are required to remove all cars from the parking area so it can be properly cleaned out. From 9am through 3pm cars must be moved. Closest street parking with no time restrictions is about a half mile away so its a good time to explore the sites downtown or in our neighboring cities! The host will message through the Airbnb website/app the day of snow removal and any car left in the parking area will be charged a $100 fee***
Other things to note: From November through March, we will be completing light renovations between 10am and 5pm. During this time you may hear hammering, chop saws, thuds, etc.

We loved our stay at the Morrill Mansion Inn. The property was great and the onsite parking was a gem in a city where parking is so expensive! Inn was within walking distance to some great local eateries, the original Holy Donut, cool bars! It’s a bit of a walk to the historic district but way less crowded and a better neighborhood atmosphere!
Everything was wonderful. Comfy beds and very clean. We were able to slip right in after the Back Cove festival and get a Great nights sleep. Katrina was very communicative and helped in every way.
We stayed at Morrill Mansion Inn for two nights and had a wonderful time. The room was spacious and clean. We appreciated the mini fridge to store our leftovers and the tea/coffee self service station downstairs. Location was an easy walk to downtown Portland. We would certainly stay here again.
We had a lovely time in our stay at the Morrill Mansion. It’s a little over a mile from the heart of Old Port, but it’s a pretty straight shot walking and it’s a great price compared to the hotel rooms in the area.
The apartment is conveniently located near downtown Portland, very clean, has a complimentary coffee and ice/water machine and convenient parking. Had a great time and definitely recommend this place to everyone.
This mansion is well taken care of and a great location! Wonderful to have off street parking and shared kitchen. We've stayed here a few times, and it has worked out quite well. Thank You!!
I had a lovely two night stay at Morrill Mansion. Simple, clean and very pretty room, on a quiet street in a neighborhood that I felt safe walking in day and evening. The bed was very comfortable. Love the soft rug….nice towels, great shower! I did not mind the stairs. Parking on site was convenient. Altogether excellent.
I would first like to say that Katrina is an amazing host! She helped with my booking experience and suggested many places to eat and fun things to do.
The inn is absolutely beautiful! Our 3rd floor room was decorated beautifully as well. The room came with a parking spot adjacent to the inn. This was very convenient.
I happened to turn 59 while staying here. The stairs weren't a problem, but carrying a heavier suitcase gave me a jump start on my workout for the day. 🤣. However, the staircase is absolutely beautiful.❤️
We would definitely stay again! Thank you, Katrina, for your lovely hospitality!
Spotless third floor room with plenty of space for two. Having a fridge and access to microwave was great for the length of our stay. The plants throughout the property were a wonderful touch. The location is quiet and perfect for a stroll or bike downtown. Thanks for the delicious restaurant recommendations and hosting us!

Not for those with knee or leg issues.
Property is not meant for those with knee or leg issues as there are a lot of steps. No elevator or even a dumb waiter to help with getting luggage to the room.
