Wonderful you enjoyed your stay! Hope you can make it back in the future.
Welcoming place to vacation and recharge. Perfect for our 4th of July group. Plenty of room, clean, peaceful, and had everything we needed. Close to everything. Sandy was a great host. Everything was perfect! Will definitely be back.
We really enjoyed our stay here. It's a beautiful house in a great location. The boat launch is literally a 2 min drive from the house. A+ would stay again!

We enjoyed the house and its location.
The kitchen was well equipped and we had everything we needed to cook our family meals.
Our family had a great week at the Golf Nest and hope to come again.
We had a very nice time during our week long trip. Lovely view of the golf course. Comfortable beds and living room furniture plus a well stocked kitchen. Our host was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had…thank you!
Perfect for our family get away. Very spacious and comfortable. Enjoyed the large family room for spending quality time with the family, plenty of seating and very large TV. Beautiful location on the golf course and close to lake. We will plan to stay again.

Thank you for sharing! We look forward to having you back.
We loved our stay at the Golf Nest! It was perfect for all ages of our children in a safe neighborhood. We could easily walk to the park on the lake and clubhouse for lunch! Our host was great, and the house had more than everything we could need for our stay!
Stayed in the area for work and it had everything me and my colleagues needed. Ample space for many people. Great rooms, including massive living rooms. Located near the lake and other amenities. Location is quiet and perfect for a winter or summer getaway.
We had an awesome Thanksgiving weekend in this home! There was snow on the ground from the past week’s snow storm and the family was so glad that we’re able to play with the fur babies on ice! The cabin is so cozy and we had everything we needed in it. The entire home has so much room and we especially enjoyed the amenities, pet-friendliness, and location of the place. We hope to visit again soon!
Omg, this property was beautiful and the surrounding neighborhood was peaceful and full of green grass from the golf course with tall Redwood trees. Very close to the lake and the boat launch was super close which made boating a breeze. Sandy was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was kind and helpful and great with communication and being a wonderful host. We truly loved our stay and would highly recommend this property!
Upstairs toilet is leaking. Its not cool that we can't recycle. But overall a great weekend. The downstairs room is too cold and no one stayed down there.

Sorry to just now see this! Apparently a kids toy made it into one toilet 🚽and the flapper needed to be replaced in the other one! Both are fully operational and working great again now. Can’t fix the county recycling situation… but I can consider a bin just for bottles and cans and guests are welcome to haul them home and recycles there. Thank you for your concern over the environment and inspiring the idea. 💡
Property was clean enough and owner communication was good, however there were issues with the stove top flame not being hi enough to boil water, basement room sink drains were clogged, king bed in basement has huge sag in the center and was unusable. Route to basement is dirt and needs better lighting. Master shower head pipe was loose in the wall and feels like it'll break off. Despite the issues the nine people that stayed for four days we still had a good time at the property.

Thank you for your candid review. Next time please let me know of any issues while you are on site so that I could have assisted with solutions to your concerns during your stay. The stove is gas and I'm not sure why you couldn't boil water. I could have had someone there in 5 minutes to see if one of the orifices was blocked and needed cleaning or to adjust the gas level. This has never been a problem encountered before (or after) your stay. The basement sink is rarely used, and again, I would have been happy to have someone help in unclogging it. Nobody had brought the broken bed in the basement to my attention either until you did. I discussed this with my cleaner. The bed has now been fixed and shouldn't happen again. It was a new bed frame that needed additional support and a piece from the middle had broken but is now reinforced. There are two motion senser lights near the basement - but the batteries must have gone out and they have been changed. Lastly, the master shower head is new and I'm surprised to learn that it is loose. However that entire bathroom is due for a renovation in the near future! Hopefully everything will meet your standards on your next visit. I am happy to work with you on how to make this right during a future stay. I'm glad that you enjoyed the property despite the concerns mentioned.
We loved the access to the boat dock and the fun activities at the rec center. We even watched the fireworks from the beach! The house was well-stocked and we had 3 generations who enjoyed the stay.
The problem was that while it was 110 in the valley, it was over 100 at Almanor and the house became VERY hot and it was difficult to sleep until the temps dropped in the middle of the night. (There were box fans in each room, but it was still very warm.) We all ended up leaving early :(

Hi Britt,
Happy to share that we added a whole house fan earlier this year which should cool the house down quicker in the evenings.
We confirmed the property had wifi before going. The wifi was broken until the last 24 hours of our trip. The host tried to get it working but was at the mercy of the provider. Several of our family members had to leave due to not being able to work from the wifi being down. The fifth bedroom was not advertised as being separate from the main house.

We now have Starlink which is much more reliable than Frontier was for internet service! You are correct that the 5th “bedroom” should be listed as a “basement” and it is truly a “great room” with 2 king beds, toilet, and queen couch/sleeper. We’ve added additional lighting and a pathway leading to the entry from the side of the house. Thank you for the feedback.
This was a great place for a Thanksgiving family gathering. The house had everything we needed and was comfortable for our group of 11, including our dog.
We loved our time there. It was a great setup for our family. There was great parking for our boat and cars. It is set right amongst beautiful trees on the golf course. The boat dock and access to it were awesome. We loved the tennis/pickle ball courts that were near too. We made great memories and had lots of fun.
This home is very spacious and worked well for our family of 10.
Beautiful great room with lots of seating and huge tv which the grandsons loved! Dinners on the patio with views of the golf course made for lovely evenings. Beds were very comfortable, which is always a plus. Thank you, Sandy!
