Although this home was remodeled recently it still maintains that Maine country, cottage feel. With pine cathedral ceilings, open concept, a stone fireplace that’s been converted to electric for convenience and a loft that boast a cozy comfortable place to sleep for up to 4 people.
The first floor master bedroom has a newly constructed balcony where you can sit and relax and catch the last rays of sunshine for the day.
There is also a full size futon on the main floor that sleeps 2.
The kitchen has new appliances and cupboard and all you need to cook for your family.
The front lawn offers a fireplace, a large play area, and abuts a quiet dirt road.
The deck offers a grill and patios seating where you can enjoy your meal while overlooking the view of the lake.
The driveway is large, plenty of place to park. This home has a flight of stairs to access it however we can offer an electric stairlift if needed.
The water access is just a short, less than 5 minute walk where you can make use of the 2 kayaks and/or canoe to paddle around the peacefu and clean Watchic Lake or go for a swim.
This home is conveniently located near many of Maines must see places.
Portland is approximately a 20 minute drive where you will find many of the best restaurants around catering to a variety of taste. The Old Port is a fun place to shop while you breathe in that fresh ocean air. Old Orchard Beach is also only a short 45 minute drive for ocean swimming, amusement rides and a beautiful peer to explore.
No. Conway, NH is about a 30 minute drive where you spend the day in the white Mtns. Hiking or swimming in the cool river. NH also has great tax free shopping.
Closer to home you’ll find Sebago Lake just 10 minutes away. It is the second largest lake in Maine. The fishing is great and for a small fee you can launch your boat at the boat launch also just less than 10 minutes away.
The small town of Cornish some great places to eat and shop. If you enjoy Antiquing Maine street has some fun shops and great finds. Just off the beaten path you’ll find a quaint little Amish store that offers fresh farm eggs, various cheeses, jams, raw milk, goat milk, fresh grown veggies & much more. But, if you get there Saturday morning they have fresh made Doughnuts that are still warm.
Just 10 minutes away, here in Standish you’ll find a shopping center where you can get all of your grocery needs, also a small but yummy cafe, a very popular ice cream shop with lots of flavors to choose from.
The town of Windham, 15 minutes away offers 2 Sushi restaurants, a steak house, some small town café, an Italian restaurant and many more…
