We would like to welcome you to a 'home-away-from-home' in our beautifully decorated condominium, unit 4-407 ( building 4, fourth floor) at Kamaole Sands. This is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, 1188 sq. ft. condo with 30 foot high ceilings. Our condo is spacious, well maintained, fabulously appointed, very clean and recently upgraded. Linens are high thread count, towels are super thick, beach towels are provided and the unit is well stocked. We also own Scuba Shack on Maui and would love to have you dive with us. Host Michelle was very responsive and pleasant. Condo could use an update. I was under the impression it had air conditioning but only had fans and portable air conditioner in 1 bedroom. Was quite warm most of the time. Good location and nice ocean view from Lanai.

Filthy!!!

We found out upon arrival that they do not have professional cleaners and expect that the only cleaning done will be by the guests themselves. It took us one full day of extreme cleaning at the beginning of our stay. We did expect things to be a bit run down and used based on the photos and previous reviews, but nothing like this. The mattress was so filthy and pad so gross, that we were scared to even use it. The owner eventually got us a new mattress after we complained. Everywhere we wiped when cleaning came up black. It was that bad and grimy (we have lots of pictures). They shouldn't be charging a cleaning fee if that is the plan. She was semi-responsive, but he was not nice (no typical Aloha spirit). Really disappointing!

Roomy little home for the month

This was a great place to stay! Close to the beach and food but far enough from the busy road. I see the ocean from my deck and wake up the the waves crashing on the beach. Inside the condo was very nice! With the vulted ceiling it was very opened and seamed alot bigger. The owners were very nice and answered any questions I had! I would recommend this condo!

Well priced Kihei condo

We stayed in this condo for 35 days. It’s comfortable and well stocked. There is a nice ocean view from the lanai but a bit of road traffic early morning. Building 4 is quiet and has a great barbecue that is not very busy. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen well stocked with everything you need to prepare meals. This condo is not renovated (except for beautiful wood floors) but it is comfortable, everything is in working order and is in a great location across the street from a fabulous beach. I would recommend it to anybody looking for a decently priced rental at the Kamaole Sands.

Great Family Location in Kihei

The condo is located in a Great location just across the street to Kihei's Kamaole Beach Park III. The unit is well appointed with four beach/backpack chairs, six beach towels, cooler, tennis racquets, plenty of bath and kitchen towels, etc. The only complaints I have is that although the kitchen and the two bathrooms are completely functional, they appear rather dated, and the floors could have more detailed mopped (especially behind the toilet). I truly appreciated Michelle's hand-written note welcoming us to their condo. We had a Great Time!

Great condo, fantastic location!

We just returned from Kihei and we enjoyed staying at this condo. We've stayed in many VRBO's and we appreciated the little details the owners have done such as shampoo, conditioner and fresh bars of soap in the bathrooms, full spice rack, oil, coffee, salt and pepper. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals as well as Tupperware for packing lunches to the beach. We had some problems with the plumbing in the kitchen but Charley was there right away to fix it which was great! The are 4 beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella, tennis rackets and balls, pool noodles and a cooler for packing around food for the day. We used all those items, they came in handy. The beds were comfortable, the location is perfect, right across from Kam III, Kamaoele Sands has beautiful grounds and we love staying there. The kitchen could use some updating but overall we enjoyed our stay and would book again! Thanks Charley and Michelle!

Amazing location and great price!

Beautiful condo, tons of space. Lanai faces the ocean, wonderful views. Kamaole Sands resort is lovely, great location close to shops and beaches. Charley and Michelle are accommodating, easy to get in touch with. This condo is very well priced as well, especially for the size. Would highly recommend.

Amazing condo, very clean, beautifully appointed and a great price

We have stayed at Kamaole Sands many times and this unit was by for the best in which we've ever stayed. The condo was so clean, there was absolutely everything we needed right down to salt and pepper and the owners were so friendly. The condo feels like home the minute you walk in and the view is lovely. We can't wait to come back again.

Gorgeous well appointed and super clean condo. The owners are lovely.

We stayed at this condo and loved everything about it. The unit is beautifully decorated, has everything you need right down to a spice rack, is super clean and has a great ocean view. There are beach chairs, an umbrella and cooler to use at the beach. The complex is lovely with gas BBQs, a beautiful pool area, hot tubs, fitness room, tennis courts and one of the best beaches in Kihei is just across the street. I shopped around a lot and the price is amazing. We can't wait to stay here again.

We enjoyed our trip to Maui

Our stay at Kamole Sands was quite comfortable, the condo had everything that suited our needs. One other thing about the condo, the beds were super comfy. It also as convienient and minutes walking to the Beach. Although you do need a car to get around for other excursions .. Hope to return again.

Perfect getaway!

Thank you very much, Michelle, for this amazing place! The condo is huge, well equipped and maintained, properly cleaned, with a lot of extra stuff (beach chairs and umbrellas, spices, BBQ stuff, etc.), for very reasonable price. We left couple of boogie boards and beach football for other renters use, enjoy it. The location is not in the centre of the resort, but in very short distance from pool and the best beach in Kihei (Kamaole 3). We put your place on our favorite list. Thanks again! Great Place to Stay

My family stayed at the unit Sept. 26 - 29, 2011.The photo's on the ad were decribed accurately. felt very comfortable here and were surprised at all the little "extras" in the unit with all the kitchen amenities, linens, beach towels etc.. The condo is within walking distance to Beach III and a short drive to Beach 1 & 2. Renting a vehicle is a must to get around the island. We did eat breakfast and lunch at the condo and ate out evenings. We found groceries expensive. I would certainly recommend this unit for renting and would use it again myself. Vi

MARCH 2011 STAY

We stayed in this unit in March 2011. We have stayed at a number of places in Maui over the last 5 years, so we generally know what to expect for our $. The unit was generally as described in the listing description. However, the unit does need some updating. The couch and chair were not overly clean, the fans were filthy, the screen door was damaged, pots and pans were in very poor shape, cupboards in the upstairs bedroom needed fixing/replacing, outside closet was filthy, etc. In fairness to the owners, they did fix the screen door and replace the pots and pans. They also cleaned the fan - after we took it down to their business and then picked it up. However, what was most distrubing was their attitude. They thought they were doing us a favor. When the exterminators were coming we were told by the complex managers to close all screens, windows, etc. We tried to comply, but the screen on the upstairs skylight was non existant and the window would not close. We told the owners but there reaction was basically that it had never been a problem and don't worry. No matter we got some bugs, geckos, etc in the unit - again, not a big deal, but it should have been dealt with by the owners. All we were trying to do was take care of the unit as if it was our own. At the last week, we were going to stay for a couple more days. The calendar showed the time was available, so we contacted the owner. We would, of course, pay for this time. Our response from the owner was one line with significant profanity included (I kept the email and still have it). We quickly got an apology, but it indicates the attitude of the owners. When we rented, we thought having an owner with a business on island would be a plus. Not so - I should have paid more attention to some of the reviews written for his business. The owners of this property have a attitude where it seems give us the money and don't bother us. We would not stay in this unit again.

Excellent condo to rent in Maui

My mother in law and I stayed here in October and this particular condo was fantastic! The facility is really nice, the pools and views are great. I rented this condo and my mom and sister rented from someone else in Kamaole Sands. Her condo was nowhere near as nicely furnished or equipped. This one was clean, well stocked, and the owner was very accommodating. My mom's condo, although on the same floor and building as mine, was bare with very little linens or kitchen stuff. Mine had a fully stocked kitchen (many dishes and cookware as well as some food items, 2 closets full of linens, cleaners. All the things a home would have except perishables. Mom and I had the same views outside but I got a lot more comfort and a better deal per night. I loved the location of this condo, too. We travelled all over the island each day, and this was easy to get to from anywhere. The beach is just a short walk away. I would highly recommend this place as the ONE condo to stay at.
