The owners are more concerned about their convenience then the quality of the guest’s stay
The house itself is fine. The backyard was completely covered in snow all the way up to the back door. It had not snowed for at least 5-6 days prior to our arrival so there was plenty of time for them to have shoveled the snow or hired someone to do it. The entire reason I booked this location was because it could house my family and had a grill and hot tub. I, along with other family members spent our vacation time, shoveling over 2 ft of ice and snow off the hot tub, a walkway just to get out the back door, and a pathway to the grill. The owners were fully aware of the status of the yard because they have a ring camera that looks over the entire yard. In my opinion owners should not be watching their guests. I also arrived to dirty dishes in the dishwasher and dirty towels and blankets sitting in the washing machine. I informed the owner of this and their reply was to say “there’s still enough room in there for us to use them”. This is unacceptable. These are amenities listed for use during my stay. They just assumed I’d only be using the washer for towels at the end of my stay. My family was there for a snow trip so we had to remove the owner’s dirty towels and blankets so we could wash and dry our clothes. There was also a six pack of beer and other items in the fridge that took up an entire door of food that belonged to the owners. Keep in mind that in the checkout instructions it says to discard all food from the fridge. The owner’s don’t seem to follow their own rules.
