We loved our stay in this stylish villa. Prior to arriving I’d thought perhaps the courtyard and pool might be too small and not get enough sun - I was wrong. Enveloping around that central space made the villa very quiet in the heart of Goult. The villa has 5 bedrooms in two wings. One wing has two master bedrooms sharing a stone staircase. The other wing of the villa has three bedrooms each with its own charm - a bedroom on the main floor which opens directly to pool and courtyard, and two bedrooms up another shared staircase. One bedroom is smaller but it’s the coolest room of all in summer heat. Plenty of choices for everyone. There are multiple sitting areas, a fully stocked kitchen, separate dining room, plus a half bathroom, and laundry. On the ground floor (street entry level) below the main floor is a bar and another half bathroom focussed on the ancient village kitchen. An excellent stylist has pulled together a very relaxing base to make day trips into the Luberon. Or just stay at home and enjoy Goult - it’s gorgeous and super relaxing. Early risers ran between villages before the heat of the day. The cafes are only steps away. And our hostess Pauline kindly booked us into Bartavelle restaurant next door some months in advance for a special meal. Generally we cooked in the villa having gathered delicious produce and treats from the different markets. A thoroughly enjoyable week for our family thank you.
