Welcome to the Sandy Beach Retreat, located at 13130 Templar Park N, Spirit Lake, this home will host large family gatherings on the southwest shores of Big Spirit Lake. Big Spirit Lake is not attached to East or West Lake and more suited for swimming, kayaking, and boating fun. This home has a great layout with two separate spaces connected. Guests will love the A frame fishing/hunting cabin style decor on the north side of the property and the south side is a beautiful traditional nautical lake home.

The A Frame cabin has an attached two car garage with pin pong table, grill with griddle, fun outdoor toys and solid two-story windows looking to the lake. One private bedroom with Queen bed, bathroom with tiled shower, and cute kitchenette. Looking out to the lake is a dining area and large common area space that could sleep more travelers. Upstairs in the loft you will find additional semi-private sleeping space with one queen size bed and two twin beds.

The south side of the property is a beautiful lake home with three private sleeping spaces. Master bedroom with King size bed, on-suite bath with tub, TV, double closets and views of the lake from bed. The second guest room has a queen bed, TV, and large window. The third place has a full over full bunk bed. The common living area has a pull-out couch that sleeps two and total seating for eight guests. Large dining room table, countertop bar seating, and breakfast nook table for quick meals. Kitchen has granite countertops, great entertaining space, and any kitchen gadget you could desire. While in the insides of the property are super for large family vacations the best space is the amazing lake frontage.

Almost 70 feet of sand beach and swimmable waters. Expansive docking system and swimming area. Great fishing right off the dock with custom fishing chairs that spin out over the water. Come watch the sunrise from the lakefront deck and the sunset from the string lit patio on beautiful Big Spirit Lake.

Sibling vacation

Annual Family Vacation

We had such a great time and really enjoyed the space. The views were beautiful and couldn’t have asked for a better location. Our only wish was that the water was a bit cleaner to swim in. Otherwise, a perfect place for a large family gathering!! It is much more beautiful than the pictures show. We will be back.

Why they chose this property

This is one of our largest lakefront properties and is located on the beautiful Big Spirit Lake. Close to town in Spirit Lake and only a five to ten minute drive to Okoboji and Arnolds Park. This home is unique is where there are actually two separate yet connected homes on the property. The property itself is almost 70' feet wide and 400 foot deep. With lower water levels the sand beach is expansive and makes for a great swimming area. These connected homes offer two different vacation styles whiles sleeping over 16 guests. On the north side of the home (attached to the two car garage) you have an adorable A-frame with kitchenette, one private bedroom, a semi-private sleeping loft, large common area looking out of two stories of windows, and a bathroom with tiled shower. Through the connecting doors you will find a beautiful traditional lake home with sleeping accommodations for an additional ten guests and eating area for sixteen guests. Many unique spaces throughout the property and gorgeous lake views from most rooms.
