With three separate craftsman living spaces encircling a small orchard, The Peapod Cottages offer ample accommodations for extended families or groups of friends looking for the perfect combination of comfort and community.
Peapod I is a 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath contemporary farmhouse with an open floor plan. Peapod I serves at the heart of the estate, providing the only full kitchen on the property. The first floor living space is filled with light and accented with modern touches and a wood stove. Open the sliding glass doors and watch the wildlife from the porch or relax in the fenced yard. On the second floor, each of the two bedrooms has its own balcony and view of the bay. The two spacious bathrooms both have deep, oversized bathtubs and separate showers. The cozy second floor sitting room is the perfect place to curl up with a novel and watch the clouds roll by without the distraction of a television.
A few steps from the main house is Peapod II. This 700 square foot one-bedroom cottage has water views from both the living room and the comfortable queen sized bedroom. The comfortable sitting area has a large screen TV with Roku, a dining table, and a delightful alcove overlooking the water. The back door leads to a small covered porch and just beyond are the stairs to the beach. The bathroom is complete with shower and tub.
Just a short walk up the driveway on the first floor of the renovated barn, Peapod III has an expansive view of the orchard and the bay beyond. This small suite includes 1 queen bedroom and full bath with bathtub. An additional sleeping area with queen bed is tucked behind a privacy curtain.

A compound with three cottages and the most spectacular view you could ever imagine. Great place for a family with adult children. Room to spread out and then come together for meals and whale watching. Definitely would come back.
The property is on a beautiful part of the island and waking up each day. Two of you like that is truly stunning. We enjoyed using the property as our base camp and ventured out for hikes on a daily basis. It was perfect for large families.
We absolutely loved the Peapod cottages! It was perfect for our multi-generational group, offering private spaces for everyone and an incredible communal space in the main house. The finishes were just right and the view can't be beat! Waking up to the sunrise over Mt. Baker and the Puget Sound is hard to leave. We loved the location of the house as well with the general store in Olga and the Buck's Bay Oyster shack a short drive and very easy access to Obstruction Pass and Moran State Parks!

We are so happy you all had such a nice time at this wonderful property and we hope you all will come and visit us again.
The location, with its lawn, porch, beachfront, and gorgeous views of Mt Baker and Buoy Bay, cannot be beat. The main house is really lovely, and was perfect as a hangout for our family of ten. There was plenty of tableware for our large party, the basics (salt, pepper, coffee for first day or so), a drip coffee maker, chemex, and french press. The beds were all reported as comfortable, except maybe the one in the barn bedroom, which was creaky. Our only complaint is that the blue house smells pretty strongly of mildew and has inadequate shades for the early sun of a summer's day. Blackout shades like those in the main house would be great. That said, we'd come back again for all the goodness!
Really special and unique property with 3 cottages and an amazing private beach on a quiet corner of the island.
The main house is spacious and well laid out to be the center of activity for everyone. Restaurant reservations can be few and far between, so we did a lot of cooking and eating there, with amazing views over the straight and of Mount Baker. Having two ovens was really useful. The two other cottages were both comfortable. Only one of them (the blue one in the pictures) has a view of the water.
Eastsound is about 20 minutes away, and the ferry is around 35 minutes, but we loved this location. It felt remote, but still close enough to make trips to the market.
We did have a little issue when we locked a key inside one of the cottages, and on a weekend, but the management crew was a phone call away, and they really went out of their way to help us out and get my parents back in their cottage quickly.
We'd definitely come back and stay here again.
