Our group of four adults stayed at the Wishing Well during a holiday weekend for a wedding. The cottage was incredibly clean, spacious, and well appointed. Nothing was overlooked. We appreciated the comfortable beds and enjoyed having coffee/tea on the deck each morning and chatting about our activities around the fire pit at night. The Wishing Well is within walking distance of a fantastic general store with delicious food and Jamaica State park. We enjoyed several walks and runs in the park. The hosts communicated well about procedures (ie check in and out) and quickly responded to a query via text. We had a wonderful stay and would certainly come back!

David and Carol are excellent hosts! Communication with them was thoughtful and prompt. The breakfast items they left for us were an added bonus!The house was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. We loved the peaceful, riverside location and close proximity to the village and Jamaica State Park. We enjoyed being close to Stratton yet away from the crowds. The new restaurant in town, River & Rye, is excellent!

Wonderful Home

We had a delightful stay in the Wishing Well Cabin. The hosts had very thoughtfully furnished and cared for the property. It was very relaxing looking at the river and enjoying games. A great place to rest, relax and rejuvenate.

Great VT cabin. Great location. Was a fantastic stay at wishing well cabin, new condition, cozy, warm. Very comfortable, super well equipped: washer/dryer, Keurig or drip coffee pots, first aid kit, plenty of towels, soaps. Quick and communicative hosts. Very nice unique touch with eggs, OJ, syrups, pancake mix, bacon at arrival.

Beautiful home, amazing river view!

From the beautiful setting - a rushing river just off the rear deck - to the lovely home and hosts that offered basically everything you’d need, this was a great retreat for our family. The owners are great to work with. They have done a great job of setting up the house for guests and are available to help make sure that you have a great vacation. We will definitely stay here again!!

a short week at wishing well

A lovely cabin in beautiful Jamaica Vt. Extremely well stocked, with everything needed for a great stay, even pancake mix and extra toothbrushes. Hosts are very nice and helpful, while giving you complete privacy. We would enjoy staying again but expect it’s going to be very popular and hard to book.

Fantastic stay at Wishing Well Cabin!

We recently enjoyed our repeat stay at this beautiful house by the river and near Stratton, and it was just as exceptional as our previous stay. The location is perfect, offering serene river views and quick access to the slopes. The house is impeccably maintained, with cozy interiors and all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. Dave and Carol are incredibly accommodating, making us feel right at home. We can't wait for our next visit!

Highly Recommend!!

This property is by far the best I have ever stayed at. Perfect setting on the river, short path to a swimming hole, linens and supplies provided were over and above anything else I've experienced. The house was immaculate, comfortable and beautifully decorated. David is an excellent communicator - so many great things about this property!

The home and property was absolutely pristine.The access to get into the property was very simple with no problems. The kitchen was well organized with a keurig or a pot to brew, your choice. Other kitchen appliances were also available such as blender, etc. Picturesque setting we absolutely loved it here.

Amazing cabin on the river

By far, the cleanest vrbo I've ever rented. This place has everything you need. Right on the river, you can tube down it or walk through a path to a swimming hole. The owners could not have been more helpful - so responsive, but also left us to enjoy our weekend. Super-easy check-in/out. Book this cabin, you will not regret it!

Amazing getaway!

Just as pictured, Wishing Well Cabin is beautiful. Dave and Carol are great hosts, and have thought of everything to make guests feel comfortable. From the beds, to the linens, to the fully stocked kitchen, the house had everything we needed for a fabulous stay. This is our third time staying at Wishing Well Cabin and we will be back for sure!
