We are so lucky to have the lake house. It's so rewarding to have guests come back year after year making the Lake House a significant memory in their lives.
It's a great honor.
We loved our stay at this beautiful lakehouse. It was clean and exactly like the pictures! We took our dog and she also had plenty of room to roam and explore. I would recommend for a serene, calm getaway!
My husband and I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary here and it was absolutely perfect! Great open space and you feel like you’re living outside with nature. We will definitely be booking here again! 10/10 recommend!
Beautiful home on a peaceful lake, I haven't felt this relaxed in years! We had so much fun kayaking and just enjoying the beautiful view after exploring Seattle during the day. Clean, comfortable, and so very relaxing! Thank you Cindy!

This guest left me a thank you note and in it she said the kids even put down their electronic gadgets and enjoyed playing outside! I love the lakehouse in the Summer; you can open the windows and doors and let the outside -inside. The breezes coming up from the lake are so delightful. BBQ on the Patio late into the evenings. No bugs! Watch the sunset from the dock; and the stars popping out just after sunset.

Great Weekend!
We spent Memorial Weekend here and had a great time! We are kayakers and we loved hopping in her double kayak and exploring the lake. Lots of area to cover outside of the cove we were in. Water was warm and the dock was great. Our doggie loved it too. The view from the cabin is really nice and the cabin was clean and comfy. We hated to leave. For sure book at least 3 nights (2 days), more if you can. My only complaint is the 10am check out - that is the earliest we've ever had to check out (most places are 11 or 12). That meant we had to really get up and get moving on the last day and that was hard. Otherwise it was perfect - and I hope we can return!!!

The lake has lots of fingers to explore and much of it is undeveloped.
I am always willing to extend the check out time if I can. Just ask.
I'm so happy to hear when guests spend time on the lake. It really is a destination and not just a place to sleep.

"Affordable luxury" it is, and in a Garden of Eden setting as well. WOW!!!!!
We stayed here instead of the Holiday Inn Express where the rest of the family was staying to celebrate our father's 90th birthday. What a blessing and comfort this "cabin" afforded us. We slept so peacefully, and the next morning were up early to kayak for a couple of hours on the lake before a gentle rain started (THANKS, Cynthia, for the kayaks and paddles and the other extra touches). Only one other person in a canoe on the lake, who told us about a bald eagle who lives here who he has seen merge with the water, in flight. Check out his wonderful website at "wecanoe.wordpress.com"…what a nice guy, and you may see a picture he snapped of us. We're not sure we can capture in words all of the many beautiful things about this place, from the magical twinkly lights on the path down to the cabin, the warm tiled and wood floors, the openness of the space, the switchback trail to the dock, the amply and generously furnished kitchen, or the way the cabin itself nestles perfectly into the land. What a great and sacred experience…we'll find a way to come back. THANKS!!!!

I remember reading somewhere that there is no bad weather, just bad clothing. I'm so glad that folks with thin blood from Georgia can get out on the lake in March. They were pretty lucky, we are having some glorious days this month. The Seahawks are relining their nest and getting ready to raise another brood on the island across the lake. You can hear the babies peeping during the Summer and watch the hawks diving for fish to feed them.
It is so fun to see the awe on guest's faces when they first walk thru the castle door into the cabin. It always exceeds their imaginations and expectations. A real retreat, any season of the year.
We went as a family with three kids to get away at a time when we are all pretty confined. The house was spotless. It was obviously just cleaned and sanitized. There were plenty of linens and towels for us. I absolutely have no complaints. Our stay was wonderful and it was easy upon check in and check out. I give it the best rating.
What a great property - Great location, amazing views over the lake! Everything you need for a home from home, well stocked kitchen and comfy and relaxing space. I would really recommend this property to anyone! 5 star - Thanks Cindy!
Beautiful property in a quiet location with a fantastic view of the lake. Well-stacked kitchen. The fireplace gives it such a cozy feeling. Smooth check-in / check-out process. Loved kayaking on the lake (life jackets provided). 10-12 minutes drive to Lakewood for groceries. Highly recommended !
The property was a fabulous place to stay for the holidays. The busy main center of town was a mere ten minute journey down country roads, but the house felt a hundred miles away from it all. The kitchen was a dream for prepping holiday dinners, and the loft bedroom was cozy. But the view! After noisy and fun times with relatives, it was a needed treat to come back again and again to a lakescape that took all my cares and put them in a corner for a few days. One word of advice: if you arrive after dark, you may need a flashlight to find the front door the first time. The owners were very considerate about leaving a light on for us (much appreciated!), but for peace of mind it does not hurt. All in all, I would return to this quiet lovely place if I can the next time I visit Olympia. Thank you for the serenity.
This house was wonderful, we had a great time hosting Thanksgiving dinner for our family. The owner Cindy was very responsive when we couldn’t get the cable to work and we did just in time for Thanksgiving and college football. We will definitely be back. The pictures don’t do it justice, you must see in person.
We came to Washington to see our daughter. The lakehouse was close and we thought we would give it a try. We loved it. We used the kayaks one day to enjoy the lake. The view is amazing. You can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the lakehouse and still be close to things to do and beautiful places to see. Tumwater falls, Mt Ranier- this state is gorgeous. We hope to return and will definitely check the availability of this property!
Our family had the best time at the lake house. The calm beautiful lake was perfect for first time kayaking. Thank you for letting us use the kayaks and thanks for sharing your property!
A beautiful lake house which makes the perfect retreat and centrally located if you want to explore Mt. Ranier or Seattle area. Everything was perfect and we enjoyed our stay immensely.
We absolutely loved this property. It was the perfect getaway for two very exhausted people. The view is maximized with a full wall of windows and when sitting in the living room or bedroom you see trees and sky and water everywhere. The kitchen is well stocked and so are the bookshelves. I will definitely book another stay at this property and have recommended it to friends already.
My husband and I enjoyed six days rest and relaxation the the lake house. The house is even more beautiful than the photos show. It is private, peaceful, and has all the amenities you could want. The path to the dock is lovely and kayaking on the lake or just sitting on the dock enjoying fresh air, birds and the soothing water is a perfect vacation.

Having moved up from Florida, we are still in awe of the Pacific Northwest. Its beautiful here. To have a cabin on such a beautiful lake and so convenient is a real blessing. Besides swimming and boating, our other passion is horses. We live on a small horse farm about 1/2 hour from the lake house.
Why they chose this property
This property is a dream come true. That special home on a lake. To have that view from every window. It never grows old. Kayaking on the lake is fabulous. It's a meandering lake full of fingers and coves. I've seen an owl bathing and preening; otters playing and countless hours of the osprey fishing. There are plenty of bald eagles fishing too. But still, we are not far from all the city has to offer. There are miles and miles of bike trails, great golf courses, Puget Sound is 15 minutes away, hiking on Mt Rainer...so much to do..or you can just relax at the cabin. We have high speed internet and Comcast TV for those connected folks too.
What makes this property unique
Our cabin is a perfect retreat. Although you are convenient to Interstate 5 it is a world away. So, quiet and private and beautiful. Lake views from every window. We often have families here to visit their soldiers at Joint Base Lewis McChord. It's a great home for entertaining. With the open floor plan there is plenty of room for everyone. In the Summer you can play on the lake. In the Winter you can enjoy the cozy radiant heat floors, jacuzzzi bath tub and large rock wall fire place. This is a custom built home. The castle like front door was hand made by the owner, his father and brother including forging the hinges. It is massive. The rocks in the fireplace wall were gathered during his travels abroad. Every detail was executed with care and love.
