About this property
Holiday house with garden, pool, whirlpool, fitness & sauna
Please note that electricity costs are charged at The hamlet of Montessino with its 5 houses is located outside the village at the top of one of the lovely hills of Monferrato, surrounded by nature, fields and vineyards. Our "adults only" formula guarantees peace and relaxation, also at the pool and the entire green area as well as in the holiday home "La Casetta"!
Spend a wellness and pleasure holiday in the holiday home "La Casetta", which is located opposite our boutique B&B and resort Country House Montessino. In the recently completely renovated and lovingly furnished detached house you can enjoy your private patio and garden. Private, free car park next to the house. The house has Wifi, a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, air conditioning and heating.
The large green area of Country House Montessino such as the outdoor saltwater pool, whirlpool, sunbeds, parasols, Zen Island, yoga room and fitness room can be used free of charge and are shared with our few B&B guests. Sauna for a fee. Pool, whirlpool and sauna are open seasonally. Soothing massages can be booked all year round in the adjoining massage parlour.
Please note that electricity costs are charged at € 0.45/kW. For stays of more than 7 days, a small intermediate cleaning (bathroom, floors) of €30 is mandatory. Payable on site.
Monferrato - an insider tip for individual travellers - is still largely undiscovered by mass tourism and is therefore still very authentic. Enjoy excellent wines, authentic, traditional cuisine and the wonderful landscape with its historic villages, also known as the "second Tuscany". Time seems to have stood still here. This wine region is an UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2014 because of its infernots. Infernots are historic, old wine cellars that were carved directly into the rock (Pietra Cantonale) by the winegrowers of the time. Most of the Infernot are privately owned, but in Cella Monte and Vignale Monf. there are guided tours of the Infernots that are open to the public. Please note opening times! A variety of folk festivals, events and festivals with music, dance, art, gastronomic and oenological delicacies enrich the area throughout the year. Be enchanted by the many castles and fortresses in the area, of which Monferrato has the highest concentration in Italy. The rolling hills of the Monferrato can be explored by bike, on horseback, on foot or by car. Well signposted paths show you the way and provide information about the nature and length of the routes. We are happy to organise e-bikes for you to hire, horses for riding or you can take part in guided Nordic walking or hiking tours. In the nearby nature park lies the sacred mountain "Sacro Monte di Crea", a place of pilgrimage in a marvellous panoramic position with a dominant cathedral and a pilgrimage path over 23 chapels. If shopping is more your thing, you will find what you are looking for in Europe's largest designer outlet, Servalle. There are several golf courses within a radius of 30 kilometres. There is even an observatory nearby.
Moncalvo (8 km), the smallest town in Italy, hosts the annual white truffle fair and the dance festival with mainly classical performances. Vignale Monferrato (5 km) has hosted the Vignale Danza dance and theatre festival for over 40 years and Cella Monte holds its own with the Jazz Rebound Festival.
Nearby historic towns such as Asti (oldest Palio in Italy), Casale Monferrato (capital of Monferrato) or the elegant provincial capital of Alessandria invite you to explore the historic cultural monuments or simply go shopping ;-).
