About this property

Glampsite getaway near Loveland!

When sending a booking request, please include a few details about your trip. This greatly helps us reduce spam requests and to know that you as our guest will care about the place where you stay! This is a farm property and a small working homestead. We are glad to host you and trust that you will enjoy it respectfully!

You will love your getaway on a private farm in your own space! This is not your average hotel stay. Welcome to a little adventure, complemented by thoughtful amenities to make you feel more at home.

This is a well-equipped Safari-style canvas tent on a well-maintained small rural family farm homestead.

The property is 15 acres with trees and pastures raising traditional animals and gardens. You will see and hear cows, sheep, chickens, ducks, cats, and pigs! All the great surroundings of a traditional farm while being near local attractions, dining, and shopping.

Conveniently located near Loveland, Johnstown, Berthoud, Fort Collins, and Greeley. Less than 15 minutes from The Ranch events center which hosts the Larimer County Fair, concerts, sporting events, and more. Also near sports tournament sites such as Loveland Sports Park and Fort Collins Soccer Complex.

The tent is on a raised deck in a meaningful setting with beautiful views. Whether you are early to rise with the sun or you enjoy wonderful sunsets and sipping tea into the night skies, make sure to bring your camera with you! Enjoy having a private clean outhouse, patio seating, picnic area with grill, and fire pit in peaceful surroundings. (NOTE: Some older pictures show a pond which is no longer in service, but during late Spring through Summer there is a small irrigation creek that runs about 20 yards from the tent and provides very nice atmosphere.)

Owner/resident lives onsite as well in a home close to the tent area, about 40-50 yards away. Tent area has a privacy fence and separate access.

Regenerative agriculture is our goal. You will see all the residents of the farm (people and animals alike) working towards this goal.

Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park are about 45 minutes away, and many local shopping and dining options are about 10 minutes away.

There is road noise about a 1/4 mile away, primarily in daytime and some at night. If you want something truly secluded, please find other options, or feel free to ask for our recommendations! Most of our guests have said they were not bothered by the road noise, but everyone is different. Browse guest reviews for their thoughts.

We look forward to your stay with us and hope it is filled with good memories!

2.) October and November can bring early snow, but generally it is a calm time. We provide wood for the wood stove as needed.

Elk Camp
I enjoyed the privacy, and the peacefulness, the only thing that could of been better in my opinion is the Heat, maybe a little better stove. And I didn't see the breakfast menu, until I was getting ready to go. Should of tried the biscuits & gravy. Thanks for the stay!

Firm and dry even in a thunderstorm
We experienced the coolest thunderstorm fortunately right after arriving. The tent stood up to high winds and pounding rain. No fluttering tent like normal camping. We stayed warm and dry during the storm. The bed is comfortable. The floor is cleaner than my hardwood floors. Not sure how they do it:) Our area felt secluded. We would stay here again.

Great Winter Getaway
We were looking for a winter camping experience to replace our annual yurt getaway in the mountains. This tent was perfect for us! The overnight temperature during our stay was 15 degrees. Within 20 minutes the stove had the tent at a comfortable temperature. We came prepared for a winter experience and were glad we brought some supplementary lights and a down comforter. The extra comforter on the bed kept us very warm through the night and we did not need to tend the fire until morning. The bed was very comfortable, the couch was a nice place to read, and the dining table chairs were convenient to move closer to the stove when needed. A nice private getaway!

About the host

Hosted by Joshua McIntyre

Host profile image
We are Colorado natives, we try to live a more simple life than the common culture, and we try to share it with others. We are still learning to host well, but we care about people and believe that's a good start.

Why they chose this property

Our property is our homestead. We moved here to have some space, but life changed and now we are learning to live with the land, or from the land. We hope it is a place of peace and rest.

What makes this property unique

Just having a traditional farm and homestead type of property in today's age is something unique, but we also think it should be more common! Here's to a more "common" farm.
