Top Floor Diamond Beach 701 - Queen of Diamonds has amazing ocean and city views. Large 2 bedroom, 2 bath, sleeps 6. From the moment you walk into the Queen of Diamonds on the Penthouse floor of The Diamond Beach Resort, guests will have the most highly sought after floor plan offered at the resort. This is the very large two bedroom, two bath unit that is located on the easternmost corner of Diamond Beach - offering 1385 square feet interior and 210 square feet of outdoor patio space to enjoy both city views and full Gulf of Mexico views high atop The Diamond Beach Resort.

This very special property has a curved wall of glass that surrounds the spacious open concept living/dining/kitchen area with direct views to the Gulf of Mexico as well as the view of the evening fireworks that take place at Moody Gardens on summer weekend nights and other special occasions. This unit boasts a view from every living area including both bedrooms! Updated, custom kitchen with large island, custom cabinetry and stainless appliances. A view to the water while you prepare the spectacular "fresh catch" of the day. The primary bedroom features king size bed and en suite bath with walk in shower and flat screen television, The second bedroom has two twin beds, flat screen television and a gorgeous view of the water. Second bath has deep soaking tub to relax after a long day enjoying all of the amenities of The Diamond Beach Resort.

Amenities at The Diamond Beach Resort include a cascading 300' swimming pool with a 750' lazy river and water slide, private cabanas and beach access. The Diamond Beach Resort also offers an indoor heated pool, concierge service and a business center (if you must!), while children play in the jungle room. Ocean Cinema has some scheduled films or you can reserve a private showing for your guests. Wine and dine in the elegant private dining area. Amenities also include a fitness center, game room and conference room. Amenities are available at the DISCRETION of the resort or property. A usage fee may apply for some of the amenities. Diamond Beach Resort is a five-star, luxury getaway, located on the West End, just at the end of the Seawall, world’s longest continuous sidewalk. Beautiful views

The views from Diamond top floor condos are breathtaking which is why we returned. Unfortunately this unit had very comfortable beds, the kitchen chairs were a bit broken (we worked from the unit so sat in them quite a bit), the pull out bed was very old & could never seem to get the hot water to work. This unit needs some updating compared to the other units we have stayed in. I would return but not in this unit at this price.

Perfect Getaway

It’s become a yearly tradition to visit Diamond Beach Resort, as always my favorite spot to hang out is the lazy river. The condo was super nice & super clean & exactly how it was described!

Lie by omission

Due to the hurricane a month ago, the pool was closed, had been closed for weeks, but was advertised as a feature of the property. I was never told the pool was closed until I checked in the front desk said they told VRBO that the pool was closed to please tell the renters but no one told me. I would not have rented had I known the pool was closed. As a matter of fact, it was the reason I rented here beware!

The condo was very nice, beds are a bit hard and the sheets were on upside down and backwards, but I understand there was a new maid. Everything was as described.

Best pool and lazy river on Galveston Beach. We’ve stayed at the Diamond many times in a different condo each time. This is definitely one of the best. Beautiful view.

excellent condo with great view

This condo was fabulous, everything was clean, it had all we needed. The view is excellent and the pelicans flying by the balcony daily was awesome. We were bummed that the outdoor pool and lazy river were not heated, I just assumed they were. We would definitely recommend this to anyone and look forward to going back one day.

Pelican heaven

This lovely condo is situated where you have a pelican show everyday. They get really close and fun to watch. Ocean view is great and the condo is very clean and comfortable. The master does have a hard mattress on the bed. We had a wonderful experience.

The pictures don’t do it justice. It’s an amazingly beautiful property and we were amazed at all the amenities that it offered. The pool was by far my favorite place to spend time. My teenage sons loved hanging in the game room and working out in the gym. I spent an amazing 2 hours in the spa and our condo was everything it said it would be. We will definitely be returning to Diamond Beach

Problems and Deception

We had the power go off but there was no reason other than an unpaid power bill. It was turned back on hours later. Also the listing shows a queen bed in the second room. Don’t be fooled, there are 2 twin beds. I would not rent this again and would not recommend it to others.

Beautiful condo! View was great. The only two things that were a bother was it was not easy to find. Then once we found it, finding the check in on 2nd floor was not mentioned. Also, there needs to be a way for people staying here to clean windows on the patio. Other than that, the stay was good!

Beautiful and well maintained unit!

I reserved units 701 and 702 for our family of 14. This unit was beautifully decorated, spacious, and well maintained. Pride of ownership is evident in this unit, especially evidenced by a note from the owner offering a cell phone number if the resort or unit falls short in any way. The parking spaces and keys/fobs were adequate for the unit’s guest capacity. By comparison, the 2/2/2 allowance for the condo sleeping 8 was not. The balcony furnishings are high grade and durable. In this unit, what you see is what you get. The six who stayed in this unit all week were comfortable and relaxed.....a true home away from home with an ocean and city view! The resort grounds are well maintained and the pools are awesome!

Queen of Diamonds - Diamond Beach

The property was beautiful with spectacular views! The check-in was a wild goose chase. We stopped at the rental office on Stewart to be told to go to the property address which had been emailed to us. We got to the emailed address which was a house at Jamaica Beach and occupied by a family. We were completely confused as to why this address was given to us. So, we drove back to the property and finally figured out what to do. The men on property who assisted us were professional and super helpful!! We were pleased with the property and had a relaxing stay. The only negatives were the crumbs on the floor under the dining room table, someone’s toenail clippings on the living room floor, and the long brown hairs on the floor throughout that were not mine. Made me think that the floors either weren’t vacuumed or swept well. The bathroom mats also looked dirty. For the price, detail to cleanliness was a disappointment. However, I would rate this a 4/5 for sure and hope that we are able to stay there again.

Great Property... Curious Amenity Schedules

We loved the condo (701). It was decorated beautifully and had all the comforts of home. The ocean views were amazing. This unit is on the extreme east side of the building, so no pool views. I've seen complaints about beach access in other reviews. We felt that it was fairly easy (several gates to access via seawall or near dunes (west side of property by sand volleyball court). Location was perfect - right at the end of Seawall Blvd. where it splits to San Luis Pass. Property was very clean and tastefully decorated. Perfect for families. Some things that made me scratch my head: No Wi-Fi password left in the condo - had to call the property management company to obtain (left a VM and they promptly called back and were very pleasant and helpful). Grounds crew had a large portion of the pool/lazy river deck closed for painting for two full days (during which they painted only a tiny section of the decking). Why in mid-June??? This kept the waterslide closed for two full days, which my six year-old was not happy about. Swim-up bar wasn't open once during our stay. Indoor bar wasn't open during our stay - apparently, they were converting from Bar None to The Citadel. Nonetheless, we were unable to enjoy. IMO, too long a list of unavailable amenities for peak family vacation season. Seemed the timing was off on these improvements, renovations. Overall, a great vacation and a wonderful condo/property. We will return.

Good and Bad

My family stayed here over July 4th week. We enjoyed our vacation and will consider this property again as we liked the location, the view and the condo itself. The Good The condo is spotless and has terrific views of the Gulf and the seawall. We watched the fireworks from the condo on July 4th. They were pretty far away but still easily visible. The balcony is great for relaxing and listening to the waves. It gets heavy morning sun but is shaded in the afternoon/evening. The furniture is comfortable and the condo is pretty spacious. The kitchen is easy to get around and there is plenty of seating for everyone for meals. The condo had a parking pass/tag that allows for covered parking. The building has several amenities that are also nice. The arcade was fun for all of us. My daughter got to glimpse into my childhood with some old school arcade games. The gym is great. Lots of equipment, plenty of space, and great views while you work out. The lazy river was fun and the multi-tiered pool was great. We went in the afternoons and had nice shade from the building. The tiers of the pool are at different depths so kids can choose their level of comfort. Lots of areas to sit and enjoy as well. The Bad The condo could use an update to cooking supplies. If you plan to cook anything that requires knives, utensils, cutting board, pans...consider bringing your own. We generally do but didn't pack it this time and which we had. The knives are exceptionally dull and the cutting board is sized for cutting only the smallest items. The condo does not have beach access. Ok...if you walk to the very end of the property, go out the gate and follow a goat trail you, and don't break an ankle doing so, you will get to some sand. But you won't want to put up an umbrella there. The work involved in getting there isn't worth it. We wrongly assumed we'd be able to walk to the beach each day. Instead we drove down the coast to find better places to setup our chairs/umbrella each day. It wasn't a big deal for us but it wasn't what we were expecting. The front desk staff at the condo should be encouraged to find different jobs. Like others, we arrived 15 minutes before check-in time and was told by Jordan (a supervisor mind you) to wait 15 minutes or pay $150 for early check-in!! Each day you get different color wristbands but don't expect the count to be right. Which will mean another walk to the front desk and another encounter with people who just don't care

Pelican paradise with outstanding views

This property was very clean with very comfortable furniture and beds. We enjoyed watching the pelicans, rocking on the balcony and watching beautiful sunrises and sunsets with a rising moon. This is our second stay here.
