Imagine a vintage Hawaiian studio with one of the best views of the blue Pacific and you have Kapa’a Sands 13. This retreat features a fully equipped kitchen that includes a dishwasher for your convenience. There is also a poolside BBQ area for your enjoyment. This home away from home is located on the upper floor, making it very desirable. Enjoy your meals, watch the sunrise or spy the sea life going by all from your oceanfront lanai. What more could you ask for?

Kapa’a Sands is built on the site of an old Shinto Shrine and features one of the original temple stones on property. It’s a unique, oceanfront property with only 24 units. Every condo and studio is a corner retreat with louvered windows on three sides allowing the tradewinds to blow through the retreat. Visitors have been making this their ‘home base’ for many years. Many return yearly, and Kapa’a Sands 13 is one of their favorite units to call home.

Conveniently located within walking distance to casual dining, unique shopping, and a weekly farmer’s market. A short drive to water activities to the Wailua River, hiking the Sleeping Giant and swimming in Morgan’s Ponds at Lydgate Beach Park.

Great place on the beach

We had 2nd story right on the beach. Perfect for us. No a/c but breeze kept it comfortable at night, a little warm in the day. Restaurants within easy walk distance. Would probably stay here again.

We had an incredible stay at this oceanfront studio in Kauai! The unit was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. From the fully stocked kitchen to the cozy bed and thoughtful amenities, every detail was well thought out. The location was unbeatable—waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying breathtaking ocean views right from the lanai was a dream. We would certainly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-maintained retreat in paradise!

Beautiful view with the sound of ocean waves

We loved the view and hearing the sound of the ocean waves all day and all night. Could see and hear the ocean from the bed and kitchen. There are some food options and a coffee shop very close within walking distance. We cooked a little and had everything we needed. The sandy section of the beach right in front is a little small but still nice. A larger sandy beach is a very short walk. Would definitely stay here again!

Great views, great location

Cannot get closer to the water. The unit did not disappoint. We knew it was small but perfect for the two of us. Plenty of storage room and never felt cramped. Perfect location for driving around the island in any direction. Loved the sound of the ocean every night. Would definitely stay there again if we get back to Kauai.

Problem not with the rental property, but with the smoking tenants in teh unit below it.

Loved teh space and the rental , but your stated advertisement of a smoke-free property is a sham , since you don't enforce it for people who own their properties which are contiguous and polluted our rental. Otherwise it was a great time, and the smokers left after three days. Ruined our enjoyment of teh lanai when they were there though.

Fabulous location, great studio condo

A++++ views and location. Just off beach, secluded, easy access, parking great, close to restaurants and a small mall. The condo was very clean, and exactly as described. The only thing that would have made it perfect is that the area rug needed cleaning pretty bad but we could live with it. I think everything else was just so nice, that the dirty carpet just didn't fit in. It's probably hard to keep it clean. Enough about the carpet, all was just grand!! You'll love it.
