We had a great stay over Labor Day weekend! The property was very serene and relaxing. Less than 15 minutes to Cooperstown as well. Definitely recommend staying here!
We loved our stay at this cute little cabin. The children enjoyed the creek and canoeing, kayaking, and fishing, and the best part is, everything you need is provided there for your outdoor fun including a fire pit and grill. The owners were quick and friendly with communication. You are definitely isolated and away from the hustle and bustle of daily life which makes it a perfect spot to unwind and recharge.
Came out to Cooperstown to watch my son play in a tournament, and this was just a perfect place for me and my wife to get away. Nestled in such a beautiful private setting.
Incredible property. Perfect for a peaceful weekemd getaway with the spouse or a week long recharge that only the beauty and nature of Upstate New York can offer. We brought a projector/screen to enhamce the experience for the kids but definitely not needed. Dont hesitate to rent. Beautiful.
We were in town for a wedding. Property was beautiful and secluded… loved that it was off the beaten path. Saw tons of wildlife… bald eagle, deer 10ft off the deck. Very quiet setting.
Our family really enjoyed staying here between games at Cooperstown. It was a nice place to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet. Our younger two children loved swimming and kayaking in the creek and we loved our nightly bonfires as a family. Would 10/10 recommend.
This place is incredible. Every single detail was thought over. We especially appreciated the guide book for local sites and eating. This was a last minute find for us for a baseball tournament after another place fell through and let me tell you how happy I am that it happened the way it did. Even for being a tiny home, there was plenty of room for our family of 5. It had everything we could have needed and it was SO CLEAN! We cannot recommend this property enough. Now, we are going home to build ourselves a screened in porch because that perk was phenomenal.
The entire family enjoyed every minute of our stay. We unplugged and had down time away from the ball park. We were close to down town and dreams park. It was like staying in a post card. The hosts were so sweet and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend!!

We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay at the Cabin by Oaks Creek.
We were in town for a baseball tournament for our older son. When we arrived our sons were fishing the stream within 20 minutes. The cabin size was perfect for our family of 4. We found shopping and traveling to the ballpark incredibly convenient. Honestly we can't wait to come back in 20w6 with our younger son.
Wonderful cabin minutes from Cooperstown and AllStar Village
My father, father in law, and I stayed here for a week while my son played at the All Star Village tournament. The location was gorgeous, and the cabin was perfect for us. There is plenty of sleeping space for 6 people, and a nice living area for talking. We did not realize it was solar powered when we booked, but power was never an issue. It got up to 90 degrees during the day, and it stayed comfortable without AC, and was perfect at night. We were gone most days, and we all wished we’d had the chance to fish and kayak! Definitely recommend!

Def. off the grid but you can get good cell service and I brought my personal wifi box so we were good. Power worked as promised, solar worked but when needed, the generator kicked right on. No complaints about that at all. Quiet, peacfull, relaxing and great place to unplug but don't worry, if you like to stay connected its def doable. Love this place and hope to go back again soon.
Everything about it was great. The inside was clean and tidy. The area around is quiet. My kids loved fishing in the river nearby. Only thing is that going from the main road into the private gravel road to the house is unsafe. There is a steep drop from main asphalt road to the gravel road so smaller cars like sedans can be damaged. Also when trying to go onto the main road the visibility to the left and right is limited. Overall could be very dangerous.
Quiet Cabin in the Woods is a Nice Break from Cooperstown
We loved staying in this cabin. It’s perfect for a family of 4 (maybe even an extra kid or two). It is rustic, so it’s a great getaway from the city and hustle and bustle of Cooperstown (if that’s what you are doing).
As said - this is rustic. Limited internet service and no TV. Which was great for us. The kitchen had everything you need. The rooms were big enough to also do what they needed. The back porch was huge and so peaceful. We caught fish in the creek!!
The only qualm we had was it was hot. We came for a baseball tournament. The A/C did not really keep up and we were hot and sticky at night. Which is tough when you sit in the sun all day playing baseball. I’m sure the owners will add a fan or two to make things more comfortable. They are very nice people and communicate great .
The owners were wonderful in helping from everything from finding this beautiful cabin to suppling tremendous amounts of information about the local towns. I.e. Cooperstown. We came here, to stay for the Baseball Hall of Fame induction ceremony We loved the rustic modern feel as well as having everything work at the cabin. It is solar, battery and if needed generator backed up for power.. it was amazing. When we needing air conditioning it worked wonderfully. Just remember you are in the woods of the Catskills and at night there are some beautiful old lightning bugs outside. Oh, there is a screened in patio with table and chairs. When we come back, and we will look forward to staying here again. There are 2 bedrooms on the main floor as well as a loft up a ladder stairs-case. Our cell phones did work too. The only problem that we had is that the cabin is in the woods by the lake/stream and with that comes the potential for different bugs/gnats that got inside in the loft area and are attracted to your phone screens if you are using them at night in the dark. Don’t let this stop you from enjoying this wonderful place. There were plenty of great towels and shower supplies and coffees. Thanks again .
