The apartment is located in the south-facing barn of the former farm in Toad No. 5.
Newly expanded and equipped according to building biological criteria and materials. The location on the outskirts, right next to the landscape protection area, guarantees a high recreational value. All living rooms and bedrooms offer a unique view of the unobstructed landscape through a completely glazed outer wall. Generous green areas under old trees allow diverse opportunities for outdoor activities. Below the terrace, which flows smoothly from the apartment to the outside area, there is an unobstructed view of a pond and its flora and fauna.
The village of Toad is located in the west of the Lüchow-Dannenberg district, a few kilometers south of the federal road B 493 (Lüchow-Uelzen). Here are the first slopes of the so-called High Drawehn. The landscape is slightly curved and rich in forests. Around the village are meadows, fields and forest areas, this idyllic setting invites you to enjoy relaxing bike tours and long walks.
The village itself consists of approx. 10 houses and was previously a so-called small Rundlingsdorf. From Toad you can reach the district towns of Lüchow or Uelzen with all shops, doctors, offices and schools and a wide range of leisure activities in about 20 minutes by car. A forest pool is located in the nearby town of Wittfeitzen.
Every year, a pair of cranes nests nearby, which can be observed time and again in the fields and which makes you feel the uniqueness of nature through its impressive courtship calls.
The secluded location in the quiet, rural surroundings with a wonderful view and a comfortably furnished apartment offers the opportunity to let your mind wander, to relax and to tackle everyday life more relaxed.
A trip to the Elbe and to the half-timbered towns of Hitzacker, Lüchow, Dannenberg or Salzwedel is worthwhile in any weather. Uelzen has the Hundertwasser station and a large farmers' market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The landlords will be happy to provide further tips for excursions, hikes, bike tours or cultural events on site.
By car: From the south, west and north via Uelzen towards Lüchow, turn left into the village. The farm toad 5 is on the left. Drive into the courtyard under the sliding roof of the large barn. You reached your goal.
By train to Uelzen station. (20 km) or Schnega train station (12 km)
