About the host
Hosted by Karen Phillips
I appreciate the truly special place that Santa Barbara is. Having traveled and appreciated my hosts I enjoy sharing this special spot with visitors. I have recently retired from a design/build construction business and found my second true calling as an "innkeeper".
I have studied multiple languages and traveled and I appreciate getting to know people from different walks of life and cultures. For the past seven years I have been creating unique spaces in the house and garden to make this spot a memorable escape.
I live in a separate cottage at the end of the driveway with separate entry and gardens. I am available to guests for information or recommendations. Additionally there is an attic apartment that is sometimes used by my adult daughter when visiting Santa Barbara. There is a separate entrance and no shared airspace or vents.

What makes this property unique
Feel a world away and yet literally just minutes to everything. Buried phone and power lines make the walks and mountain views from the neighborhood special.
